at 23 I would(and did) want to live in the city
    if night life matters
  • I guess I want it all somewhere nice and quiet with some nice dog walking routes and then some good clubs and pubs for when I have a little "me" time at the weekend. glasgow would probably be preferable though :) just need to try find the nice parts
I was also considering edinburgh but unfortunatly finding places to rent are far far to expensive :(

    As a 23yo OP I think I would go with Glasgow - it's a no brainer! :)

Glasgow - West End, lots of nice green parks etc for dogs, and nightlife in West End & City Centre.

Are you working? Would you not be better getting a job then you know your budget and a place nearby to minimise the time the dogs are left and avoid a long commute?

I have actually lived in both.

Glasgow better for night life and shopping. Rents and mortgages more expensive than Falkirk, but you would save on commuting costs.

Falkirk is a very green town with two canals that join together at the Falkirk Wheel.

You can walk almost everywhere in falkirk and taxis are cheap so getting home after the pub is easy.

There is a large nightclub called City in the Centre of Falkirk,

and a regular popular watering hole is Behind the Wall.

There are lots of other pubs but it is not like Glasgow where there are of course many clubs and pubs to choose from.

Falkirk is slap bang in the middle so Edinburgh is also an easy commute and if you have a car you can be in the Trossachs in half and hour.

    Hope this helps

Also in Falkirk along the Forth and clyde canal are pubs you can walk your dog (as long as he is well behaved).
  • House prices/ rental prices are so much cheaper in Falkirk too, even town centre is cheaper than Glasgow. City is quite popular as a nightclub, however, don't stay open as late as the clubs in Glasgow. There's a good choice of restuarants and plenty of pubs. Your 30 mins from both Glasgow and Edinburgh by train for a serious night out too. There's the canal walks, the helix pathways network as well as Callander park for a bit of chill out time. I've stayed here for 10 years and really like it. It really depends how much partying you really want to do.;)

well i dont know what a tim or hun is and that would be my reply and i am not a muslim rasta or hindu (unfortunatly i cannot find a  smilie lol

    Tim = Celtic (think Irish/Pope/Catholicism)
Hun = Rangers (in administration :rotfl:) (think British/Queen/Protestant)

That is the jist of it.

Personally if you are neither, and are a Arsenal/St Mirren/Motherwell/Burnley fan they still ask "what are you really?"
