No gas here but electricity bill was £534! Oil was £500 and something (can't remember what the 'something' was) and we've used half of that over only 2 months. :(

Sooner we find a more fuel efficient house the better.

    Electric - 19/11 - 22/2 £163 inc £34 standing charge
    Gas - 19/11 - 3/1 £117 inc £17 standing charge

i think the gas upto 22/2 will have about another £130 to go on

My Jan bill was £123 in credit but I wasnt happy with the decemeber reading as it didnt look right compared to the reading I took on 22 feb. rang n-power and hes updated the bill which I got this morning. now £220 in credit :):)

Currenlt changing to Scot Power Online Fix My 2013 as it looks like I can save a further £75 compared to Go Fix 8
  • Electric only here: about £200 or so expected so far (Jan-March)
The weather here has been rather mild for this time of year, mostly well into double figures this last week. Topped up insulation last year for very cheap diy and have tweaked the heating so the place now fluctuates from about 15C absolute worst to 19-21C in late evenings.

Of course, the downside if everyone cuts back and suffers a little or gets better insulated etc. is that the utilities will allegedly not have the funds to execute all these greener and cleaner forms of power generation, and we will all be expected to pay even more!!

    You think I'm joking? :p

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
