When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. :D

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Happy 40th birthday, pixiechick! Hope you have a fab day - life begins here!

Well, weekend is here again, thankfully! I've got nothing to do really, but am shattered so looking forward to just pottering and chillaxing

My small things:

- check banks
- clicks, surveys and bingo
- meals from stores
- relist unsold things on evilbay - free listing weekend :-D
- post last of last weekend's evilbay sales, and an amazon sale
- dry washing on airers
- try to have a LSD
- might bake something
- meal plan for the week

think that's about it really - have a great day, everyone! x

    Debt-free and Proud!
Well I'm working all weekend, making it very difficult to spend! I'll probably spend less than £1.50 on food at work (I love having a subsidised canteen), and tomorrow I'll take my own.

    • upload my shopping barcodes and reciept to [EMAIL="shop+sc@n"]shop+sc@n[/EMAIL]
    • lunch out tomorrow with my girls - using £20 that ex gave me towards it
    • no cooking this weekend:T
    Ok - that's all!

    Morning everyone!

This weekend is going to be about keeping busy! I have had a productive week off and back to work on Monday... have a few 'loose end' jobs I want to get done... which hopefully will stop me being tempted to go out this evening!!! Pay Day on Monday - and am proud that I was able to make the cut backs I needed to this last month! So this weekend:

[STRIKE]- Meal plan for next week. Need some cheap and *easy* dinners (as in one pan meals lol) as I know when I get home, from work I just won't be up for a major cook. Also don't have a freezer so can't do too big a bulk cook.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Check online for shopping vouchers/online shopping deals[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Do a cheap *value* shop to see me through next week (aiming for £10)[/STRIKE]
    - Go through house and get rid of any old magazines/clothes/shoes & recycle them at our local supermarket
[STRIKE]- Keep heating off and wear an extra jumper if I feel chilly![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- I need a new kettle so will research good deals online[/STRIKE]
    - Complete a log book to hand in at work so I can start doing some extra Agency work = more £££

    Good luck everyone!!!

PS. Happy Birthday also Pixie!!! Have a fantastic day and enjoy being treated!!!

  • Good morning all.
Well, here I am raring to go and try and find the money saving me again - just forget all about the past week.
It's still very early doors at the moment but I have already made a start...
:) washing done and on airer with bedding in to wash (unfortunately my ds is unwell and puked everywhere last night so I had no choice.
:) get my last £70 out of the bank. I get paid Weds, so this is a massive amount of money for me to have left this far into the month, but I need to do shopping. Any spare into my sealed pot.
:) shop in Ald! and any extras in Asd@ - I have a £20 voucher after I made a complaint there a couple of weeks ago.
    :) check banking and surveys
:) take the kids to visit my mum, and have lunch over there
    :) marking
    :) flylady
Don't much want to do the last two at the moment but they are necessary evils as far as I'm concerned.

    Have a good day everyone,
And pixiechick have a fabulous 40th!!!!!!:T:T:T

Good morning everyone. It’s a nice sunny day here today.

    :)Superpoints, Swagbucks, Clicks done
    :)All meals from stores done
:)Relist unsold items on evilbay- Free listing weekend
:)Washing (full loads) and hang on airer work in progress
    :)Meal plans for next week
:)Do work that needs finished off, sort through paperwork and take appropriate action work in progress
    :)Catch up with emails done
    :)Have a NSD sucess
:)DH has taken my car to work today as it is cheaper than running his.
:)Do 2 hours studying (Biology) – I need to get a wiggle on as I have a massive pile of studying to get done.

I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a good Saturday/weekend

Productive levels today are a bit slow but I am feeling in a good mood, as just done a rough calculation on PPI and if its right it could ease things for a while :) so some jobs on DH list for next week.
