  • Hello, everyone!

Happy birthday to you, Pix!! hope you keep getting properly spoilt.

Beautiful sunny weekend here but unfortunately have a lot of work to catch up on :(

Boy is away this weekend - drove him and his work stuff to his ride at 5 am this morning, so a bit sleepy.

Running to the end of the paycheck here, so this weekend:

    - work to catch up on things and not be out spending
    - out to dinner with friend, will keep it cheap
    - make meal plan for week and shopping list
    - keep looking into fixed deposit accounts, got some good advice on the savings and investment board
    - catch up on what I need to put in order for my US taxes
    - go to meeting for business venture tomorrow
    - maybe do some batch cooking tomorrow
    - keep looking for courses which work will hopefully pay for

    Have a good weekend, everyone

Realised I got paid a few days early and have managed to get enough £££ together to clear one of my debts!!!

Goodbye Capital One Credit Card!!! :T:T:T

Am going to have it as my stand by Emergency Fund until I can save up my own stash of cash!!! That's my next goal! Anyhow... To add to today's list!

[STRIKE]- Sort banking out for March and sort money into envelopes![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Wash car and inflate tyres (more economical on fuel)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- I have a gym membership - decided I had to 'use it or lose it' so go for a work out (and aim for 3-4 per week)[/STRIKE]

    Hello All

Pernicious - thanks for the link - will use that next time. Hope you feel better soon and up for the gig this eve

Abundant - congrats hon, thats fab!!

Pixie - birthday wishes floating your way....it'll be a fab decade..you see!!

Natlie - hope you feel better soon and Spendy thanks for starting us off...

    Me..

    - well just had a disaster of an overspend at AL*I so bit disappointed in myself really. I could have done it but we were in a rush. Fatal. Anyway its a lesson learnt (I hope) and even OH seemed to realise that entering a sm in a rush is just not a good way to spend time. Still, think most of the items were cheaper than other sms, its the extras that were the undoing really..

    So...as to small dfw things..

    - apart from haircut I will not spend any money - DD2 wants some sweets from the gorgeous old fashioned sweet shop on the way there but she will spend her PM so no spend there for me!
    - hope for eggs from chooks..think they are laying next door:eek:..at this rate will be popping across to see, rummage in their borders etc:eek:. Otherwise think those feathered girls need a firm 'talking to' stitchy style...(speaking of which is stitchy OK - she hasnt posted on here for a while...)
    - 79p on the panels already today..hoping for lots more sun this afternoon:T
-check banking and make a PAD
    - keep checking EBay..have a few watchers and £18 odd in bids already so heres hoping. Know its a free listing weekend so that might affect sales as there will be loads of sellers about..

Tomorrow I think we will go to the allotment and do some clearing and planning...if its sunny like this it will be gorgeous and we can take coffee and snacks and get some fresh (ish!) air in our lungs!

OH also seems to have lucked out with getting paid for an interview he helped with. He didnt even have to write anything :o just help out the person who was!!! He can't quite believe what they are offering....(neither can I!) but he has chucked an invoice in for the amount they said it was worth (£400!!!!!) and fingers and toes crossed

Have a lovely sunny day everyone

well thought my LSD/NSD plans were scuppered when i looked at the kids shoes and realised they all needed new ones.......we went to Next and got eldest dd and ds their pairs which should have cost £39 for both, found some gift cards in my purse and hubbys wallet.............cost me the grand total of........£8.50 :D then headed out to get baby dd some shoes, shes got little feet and cant get any to fit in clerks so its the continental shoes for her (roughly £35 a pair!) imagine my delight when the shop had a pair reduced from £40........to £10 :D:D !!!!! So shoes that should have cost me £79 in fact cost me £18.50. So the £80 i took out of my envelope marked "Spending money" has gone back in (so its still at full capacity!) and me and hubby used the remnants of cash what we had between us left from last month to pay for them.

Im so giddy honestly i cant tell you!

    Hi all

Well I did spend some money on sweets..£3.79 as we went around to friends and I wanted to take something.

Otherwise apart from the haircut no spends this afternoon.

The panels made £3.03 which I am so so chuffed about. A gloriously sunny day here.

Currently cuddled in front of woodburner with DD2 about to read a story. Bliss.. The joy in small things. Glass of AL?I SB next to me. Not great but not bad for a fiver!!
