Oh, it is if it's compromised. D'you reckon saving 23 seconds on your car journey will seem worthwhile when you're facing the courts for causing death by dangerous driving?

It's the less intelligent members of society who believe that overtaking a slightly slower moving vehicle will lead to them arriving significantly earlier at their destination.

It's usually the same people who forget that they were once learners and that they were nervous about making their first journey without an experienced driver by their side ;)

Some of us realise that there are thousands of fatalities and many thousands of life-changing injuries on the UK's roads each year.

Some of us are therefore willing to take an extra couple of minutes on a 30 minute journey if it means being able to drive defensively and try not become a statistic.

    A very remote possibility.

There's far too much emphasis on 'Health and Safety' these days. Life just ain't life without a bit of risk. It's how you manage the risk that counts.

You 'get away with it' if you manage the risk correctly :)
