£25 Seriously it's not that much...... You probably (without realising it) pump double that down the kids neck in sweeties (and i've had that argument before now).
Do you smoke? at 20 day that's £150 a month.

When I was out of work on JSA (£64 a week), paying a £400 mortgage and paying £100 in energy bills. I literally lived on Netto/Aldi food for 6 months (mostly stuff I could cook in batches, like pasta sauce and curry), hell I could fill a trolley for 1/2 the price of Tesco/etc.
I cut my phone contract down, I turned the heating off and wore a fleece jacket 24/7, I stopped using the car for trips into town, I walked.

The point im trying to make, is that there are always area's where you can cut spending.... Often rather that "where can I get this money?", we should think "where can I save this money?".

I'm really trying to be sympathetic, please don't misunderstand me.

I just think that £25 isn't that hard to find if you make a few sacrifices.

I had to send the actual ticket itself with my challenge form. I thought they may have returned it with the rejection letter but they didnt.
I do still have all of the form that was stuck on my windowscreen. The details on this say:

    Code 83
    Observed from 13.39 to 13.53
    Issue time 13.53
At the top it says The traffice management act 2004, S78;Civil Enforcement of parking contraventions

You should not have sent the ticket, get on the phone now and ask them where it is !

The op is asking for help on paying a parking fine, not for advice on how to cut down her household budget/borrow from relatives, etc.

To be honest until you can get that ticket back, you are on a bit of a looser.
It is very dishonest of them to "loose it "

any cctv covering the car park? Could still be on there, you buying the ticket etc?

It isn't right if they claim to have lost your ticket. That's your evidence. See if they'll acknowledge recieving it.

Also sure it isn't all over. I suspect you can re-appeal this. Sometimes that bit of determination helps.

I'm not convinced just yet that you are on a loser.

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

The OP can't afford to pay the fine. Saving is the best way to be able to pay the fine. This is Money Saving Expert. Strider's advice to save money, and ways to do it, couldn't be any more relevant or on topic.

I bet you'd be fine with someone recommending Wonga! But it seems to be taken as an insult, these days, if someone dares mention ways to save money... on Money Saving Expert...
