Don't know, but I spoke to them and they said that if you do try and port to Vodafone you lose the cashback
Just been on the phone to them myself, and they said that vodafone is the only company you can't get a pac from ... but why is it that vodafone is the only company I can get the phone I want from?!?! :(

I don't quite follow you, lovelldr.

To port IN to Vodafone you don't actually need to obtain a PAC *FROM* Vodafone...you give a PAC *TO* Vodafone.

Sorry, yeah, I meant it's the only company I can't use a pac to transfer my number. Well, that's what the bloke told me on the phone from phonebox direct...
  • Generally the other shops will only match direct dealer deals, so not these in other words.

I don't really understand what that means. What is a direct dealer and how do you know whether a company is one?

Well, you can keep your number from what I understand, it's just that they won't honour the cashback if you do keep the number when taking a vodafone contract.

But looking throughout their website and through the t&c's, there is nothing written which states you cannot keep your number. So I was just wondering how you would stand legally if you used your pac code and they refused your cashback? Cause through the website, it says that all you need to do when using the pac code is show the first months contract to show the original number they gave you... So could you sue them for breach of contract if they failed to give you the cashback because you used the pac code???
