I would love to have a caravan in the garden that I could refurbish and turn into my mini crafting sanctuary! At the moment I have a shed that I hoping to transform but I clearly am more of an ideas person as I have yet to start the work :rotfl::rotfl:

It would also be great to have another one to take on holiday as I hate to fly and we travel a lot around the UK and a caravan would give us great freedom, however they are too out our price range atm :(

My room and garden are no further forward today either :o I may have been caught up with other things that don't really need to be done.

Oh Wow, Alfie! That is just beautiful! :) I think anyone who cares about their garden but likes the occasional barbie would fall in love with that. Have to say :o I kind of hanker after one of those things you can cook pizza in outside. But it'll never happen unless we win the lottery! :rotfl:

As suspected DD1 isn't keen to have a furniture delivery in the near future. Oh well, will just have to try and stay CALM CALM CALM... :o;)

Our magnolia tree is finally flowering and it looks gorgeous. :j I'm so glad we stopped pruning it. It's getting big, but might thin the branches a bit come autumn (there are some crossovers that rub a bit in a high wind) but let it go on doing its thing. When we came here it was pruned down to about 4ft  and had obviously been drastically pruned for most of its life. No wonder we didn't get a lot of flowers. Will try and get a photo tomorrow to put up. It makes my heart sing after waiting for so long for the buds to burst open! :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
We haven't sorted ANYTzhING out with the house. No progress at all. It's been a rough few months and we have ground to halt totally.

I don't think my road side holly hedge is going to make it. It looks DREADFUL. The ones still alive are rather yellow, and others have died.

I don't know what to do for them.

Or, if the worst happens, what to replace them with. I really, really wanted holly. Yew would look great but also be a risk to the horses in that spot. It's a hostile little patch if ground.

Maggie, my friend made this in her garden for next to nothing...

We christened it the other night...

the roof was added a couple of weeks ago to help protect it from the weather...

In general the best time to prune anything you're growing for flowers is straight after flowering (unless it fruits) otherwise you might lose some of next year's display, I can't remember how to prune magnolias specifically, still not firing on all four yet!

The caravan could do with a good spruce up, it's not meant to be permanent and it's turned into a crafty dumping ground, over spill from the spare bedroom!

We have also 'acquired' a second caravan, we need to empty our garage before the roof falls in so another caravan seemed like a good idea?! Looks like Steptoe's yard here

Made a decision this week!: as finances are looking unlikely to improve before I reach my coffin, I decided that currently the most sensible way to chase my dream is to join the HomeSwapper site and advertise my home to swap! You can put all the details of where/what you're looking for and then you get matched with people who are looking for where/what you have, and take it from there. It's available to anyone in a council or housing association property, and you can look to swap ANYWHERE within the UK, which is great if you need to move for family/health/work/whatever reasons.

This could be a loooooong process yet, but it's given me a kick up the backside in terms of getting my home clean and presentable, and given me hope that my daydream doesn't necessarily have to start with a huge savings pot and a mortgage!

If anyone else reading this is in a council or housing association property, and want to have a look at realising their dream from a different angle, google "homeswapper". The more people registered, the more likely we all are to find something suitable :)

Good luck with the house swap, rainbow, sounds like a good idea, hope it works out. I feel like my day-dream place is getting further away these days, rather than nearer :undecided It may be that I end up renting somewhere instead of buying.

Another sunny day forecast & it does look lovely out there. I desperately need to do some weeding in the garden, but the soil is so dry with big cracks in it :( I tried digging some over yesterday & it was a nightmare ~ we need some rain (preferably overnight ;)).

    Fingers crossed on the trailer!

Sold a Little Tykes plastic play shed two years ago and got good money, so it could be a nice earner for you

Davesnave you might know:p We have a large wooden stand which might have come from a garden centre once upon a time, and its great for displaying our blankets on ( shown in the wonderwool pic) we are trying to get 2 made, so we can get more blankets displayed etc, but the few people we have asked have been dragging their feet, and saying the price of wood is expensive, it might be worth buying the plastic shelving:eek::eek:, for one thing it would look naff, and those plastic racking is not robust enough to put up with people pulling at the blankets..

so basically do you know where we can buy that type of thing:D
    ?

    Err...No. :o

Most people who sell plants only use tables, especially as they fold down flat and aren't likely to be blown over at outside venues. We did look at tiered metal racking once, which also folded, but it was horribly expensive, being a very specialist product, so we couldn't justify buying it. Sorry, lost the details of that long ago. :(
