:( Dave. The problem with sheep is once they've found you they'll keep coming back until they're moved away altogether unless you can find a way to completely keep them out.

These sheep haven't come from Pete's (well they have, but in a truck - he's 2 miles away!) They are just breaking out from the lower field into the upper one, which is supposed to be our hay crop.

Our internal fences haven't all been replaced yet. I was hoping these would do for a few more years. We even have a bit of boundary fence to do, thanks to Openreach and last year's naff weather. :(

    Oh Ctc,

    :(:(

Instruments are a popular steal sadly.....even at gigs when the musicians just put them down to have a drink.....dh once followed his sax through soho before getting it back. :(

All the suggestions for looking for them are good. Hopefully the police took it seriously too, instruments add up :(

Meanwhile we intercepted youths looking around the neighbours' farm yard earlier this evening. Quick call to the neighbour (they were not home) confirmed that they were not expecting anyone and having got their position dog dog and the pack got to exercise next door on lunge line, no muzzle. No contact, but I hope those boys will not be back any time soon. Especially as I'd parked in their hatchback giving dh time to give them a good stern talking to about CCTV, dogs and the great views we have over every where they might be interested in.

Horse and farm watch alerts have been significantly numerous the last couple of weeks in our corner of the world, but we think these kids (in a hatch back) were probably just looking for somewhere to 'relax'

Dear CTC so sorry to hear your bad news. Hope your property turns up.

Wish could say better but after 7 hours at the lottie I'm knackered! Just had hot bath and am in bed. Recommend the hot bath treatment for unhappy happenings too - toasty warm and clean makes one feel better.

Alfie, glad your Dad safely transferred to NH. Hope he settles there OK and doesn't get too down about it. OH's Mum is a bit cross about some of the elf and safety stuff like being strapped into wheelchair. But guess it's needed - she's had too many falls.

Umm was going to say something else but forgot! Brain gone walkabout after lottie time!

You misunderstood me or I wasn't clear.
Maybe I should have said once sheep find their way to where 'the grass is greener' they'll keep returning if they can.
Will you have them after shearing? If so, a run of electric fence may do the trick then.

We're shuffling furniture for builders again today, and as a side job this weekend need to empty the kitchen to day ( but bring stuff back in to night, this will happen a few weekends) and we took our kitchen table out and had breakfast in the garden. This is distinctively posh for us, we normally sit on the grass, or if living it up, on an old blanket.

Just a thought, CTC. Do you have photos of any of the intruments or other stuff that was nicked? If so, if you load them onto your photo-sharing site & post a link here then we can all keep our eyes open.

The gorgeous weather continues today :j however I was a bit too enthusiastic yesterday and after spending the afternoon in the garden (reading not working :o) then I have ended up sunburnt :o So today I am hugging the shade and keeping well covered ;)

I have also neglected the seedlings in the greenhouse :o:o:o and I am trying to save them, although it is not looking too promising.

Today and tomorrow morning I want to get the back garden properly tidied and a run to the dump done. I am also going to try and sweet talk the OH into cutting the grass, which is currently awash with buttercups. Although I really hate them most of the time for a week or so they really are rather pretty :rotfl:

I know I have said ti many times before but it really is so lovely spending time in the sunshine :D
