This is one reason why you are probabaly not being upgraded. The internal credit scoring will look at your account conduct, including charges on the bank account. This is a big thing to be looked at
no charges for at least 6 months before consideration
Underwriters have confirmed this0 -

Have you thought the reason they aren't giving you 'credit' in the form of a debit card is due to the charges you've incurred previously and as you've pointed out in your last couple of posts; rather than in the first post which might've shed a different light on things from the outset. As has been pointed out, if you don't 'manage' your account properly with an Electron card then they're unlikely to 'entrust' you with a debit card.0 -

I assume these charges are from you going into an unauthorised Overdraft over two years ago? This will show on your report as 'bad'. Not having a Loan, OD, Mortgage or credit card means lenders have nothing else to base it on apart from this one account, which has incured charges.

Exactly right, by having charges it shows your account is not maintained
I saw a letter today that asked for £2000 back in charges, but said they had been loyal and maintained their account well. This was not really the case0 -

My account is electron so I cant go overdrawn and havent had a charge in 3 years. I have a shared account with OH which is a normal account and is always in credit with between 50 and 700 in. However 2-4 years ago we diid run up £356 in charges which we have just started claiming back. However this is after I applied for a normal account. My hubbys account is also well managed and he has good credit rating.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
£11,860.00 needed = £1,106 in savings
