Believe it or not i have applied for online banking endless times and everytime they have been unable to process. Rang them up and they were useless, asked in branch to no avail so gave up with that!
As for a reason i keep getting told that they can see no obvious reason so try again in a couple of months. I've been trying for about 2 years now!Moving house on January 31st.Its brand new and empty ARGH the stress.:eek:0 -
This is how strange they are.. I can have a 16k loan a 5.5k limit on a credit card both with halifax. I have a property just selling for 122k with a 51k mortgage and they wont upgrade my account from an electron!!! I have a default from 5.5 years ago!!!Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

Anyone can have telephone banking access. You need to remember security passowrd for them to verify you and other questions.
If they are not happy they will ask you to visit a branch with 2 forms of id, for the branch to see you face to face, and then phone up to confirm you are you and get you re-set. It is quite simple, once back on0 -
Don't try too often is another good point., Wait at least 6 months since last try!0

sounds odd, but its looking at your existing accounts and the conduct. Are the payments up to date? any charges on the bank account?0
