Agreed with HappyNow about looking out the extra expenses.

Do you both need the two life insurance policies each? Are you on the best deals for all insurances? Do you not pay water rates?

If you look up all the interest rates on the debts, you can start snowballing, and paying as much as you can to the one with the highest interest. The snowball calculator here is very addictive http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx

    Good luck!

Jwil - I'm over here in beautiful Northern Ireland:) and at the minute we dont' pay water charges although there is talk of bringing them in. We pay an overall rate (i've put this under council tax) of £100 per month for 10 months then it gets reviewed and normally increased! March & April are our 2 free months :)(although that will cover 2 kiddies passports to renew in March and car tax in April grrrr) - I will definitley have to dig out all my financial bits and bobs and have a look at the APRs - car insurance has just gone up which was surprising as never had an accident and driving for donkeys years! So I think we'll have an overhaul of all the insurances.

£22 in Mr Ts today which included a few items from the reduced section, meat & bread (would never have done this a few weeks back!) how times have changed! :D

Morning all - hope everyone's having a good start to their week :)

A nice quiet day today in work (they don't happen very often so I'm going to make the most of this one!) - and at the minute currently a NSD although, I was planning on pasta/tuna bake for dinner but think we might be out of tuna so might have to stop off on the way home to purchase some.

Only two days to go til pay day :)

Okay so no NSD today - forgot about son's sponsorship money for tonight £10 and ended up £6.50 down after stopping at the shop after work ! There are a few lonely pounds left in my purse:( thankfully pay days only round the corner!

On the good side 4 items now with bids on ebay :) and still a few days to go so they should hopefully sell for more:)

Repeat to oneself ... Must stay off the Grabbit Forum, Must Stay off the Grabbit Forum!

Just seen a super deal re the above forum for H&M just got 4 holiday dresses, 2 pairs of boys shorts all for the pricely sum of £8.44! and as if that wasn't bad enough also ordered on Mr Ts 2 outfits for birthday pressies which came to £14.50 .. ah well into the red this month we go ... but on the upside that is two of my gifts for March for £7.25 each not bad ... and with my extra hours this week when pay goes in it will all be covered so not so bad really.... (this is me convincing myself)

Just Keep repeating.. Must Stay off the Grabbit Forum, Must Stay off the Grabbit Forum!!

Off to bed before I go back over there!

Payday whoopee! :) So everything's been updated £71 paid of CC now sitting at £1470 hoping to get another £20 of this during the month. Savings put away for holiday and gift total updated which is already sitting at £102! this includes 2 birthday gifts, new baby gift and Easter Eggs 9 for £7.50 (I didn't think that was too bad) - also to add to that Mothers Day gifts not sure how much yet. Shopping all done and enough nappies bought for the whole month (boots 3for2, double points & 200 extra points coupon so did okay out of that).

At the minute there's about £80 to last until my payday next week but the cars filled with petrol so shouldn't need to do that either until next week. Hairdressers on Saturday should be about £20. Finger's crossed all my money saving plans stay in place. :)
