No problem. Go to the top of the thread, and you'll see 'thread tools'. Click on that, 'subscribe to this thread' and then pick whether you want notifications or not. You can then see a list of subscribed threads in your 'user cp'.

You can set it up so that you subscribe to a thread as soon as you post in it (I've done that) but I can't remember how to. I'll try and have a look.

Thank you jwil I will never again loose a diary! :)

Today should be a NSD as long as temptation doesn't call me at the party those pesky little muffins & scones mmmmm

2 kiddies awake, washed and dressed - just one to go then we're outta here:)

Have a fun day peeps :)

An NSD today one of only a few this month but hopefully will do better in March.

Party went will my little guys tired out and having a bit of a sleep and I resisted any temptation from all those lovely tray bakes :) plus my aunt bought me lunch which was lovely of her :) I love catching up with family my cousin has found out she's expecting her 2nd so i'm really chuffed for them they've been trying for a while now :) But of course that means another present to consider into the gift budget for later in the year lol! I'm waiting on a voucher coming from a survey site to help go towards March's birthdays, but I seem to not meet alot of the profiles at the minute which is a bit annoying but will persevere with them.

Thinking about tackling the ironing or maybe try and get my SOA up - not sure what will win.

So there it is and according to it we should have £470 for further debt repayments after everything has been paid!! So I'm just wondering where that moneys hiding! As you can see I don't really budget, holiday, clothes, entertainment, extra school costs etc I just kinda pay them as we go. I also haven't included the extra money I'll be earning from my extra hours as this will go straight into holiday fund. Technically i could pay off my CC in 4 months going by the SOA ... interesting... The finance payments for sofa etc all finish at the end of next year... sorry I don't know what APRs they're on - any thoughts, comments are welcome :D

hi M40 , we get £36 tax credits I didn't add this on as it will stop in April as we will be over the new £26000 threshold so I didn't think there was any point in putting it in. Even though it was only £36 it still helped out bad tax credits:(

Hi mamato3, just popped in to wish you good luck :) and also to check behind your virtual sofa to see if I could spot that missing £470!

I'm still pretty new to this myself, but with your three children and two cars I bet you actually spend quite a lot on the above items where you've shown a zero. I know you say you just pay for them as you go, but it might help you balance your books if you can calculate the overall cost per year, then divide that figure by 12, and include each one in your monthly budget. Firstly, that will give you a more realistic idea of what you actually have 'spare' each month. Secondly, if you can actually open little savings accounts alongside your main current account, you can then transfer across some money each month so that when the expenses crop up, you are prepared.

For me, the two biggest changes have come through
    a) Updating my diary regularly to keep me focussed
    b) Doing a realistic budget (including plastic tubs of cash for different purposes and a few savings accounts) so that I can really account for incomings and outgoings.

Anyway, good luck and I will pop back and see how it's going x

Hubby mentioned last night that son needs £10 for sponsorship money for his karate class tomorrow night errr what? I never seen any sponsorship form which apparently we've had for weeks lol! So I will have to take £10 out of money I have put away for Mother's Day gifts for it (its more a collective present from me and my brother/sister so its actually their money that they've gave to me to go towards it:() - we have to venture to Mr Ts today to get a few lunch things for school/work so will have to be very good and write a list and stick to it (great at writing lists just not very good at sticking to them) and then the ironing will have to be tackled today ... happy Sunday folks

Hi HappyNow - if you find anything behind said sofa could you send it my way please:)

You're right it is all those 0 balances that I don't account for that trips us up on a monthly basis like nasty car repairs! So this month I will take money out for grooceris, petrol, lotto, etc and envelope them and hopefully once I see them dwindling down I'll be able to reign the spending in a little bit. I actually do have a few separate accounts that were opened for that intended purpose so I will also be transferring money across into these once payday finally arrives. I agree the diary is great it gives me great accountability along with the spending diary which is actually a bit hair raising  (I do love those icons).

I really just want it to be Wednesday now so I can put all my great plans into action :) Fingers crossed I can stick to them.
