Thanks midnight that is so kind of you. His appointment is on Monday so by the time they get there and back and pick up the littlies etc it will probably be after tea their time before we talk so I will be trying to keep occupied all day. I am spring cleaning my craft areas as if the queen was coming to do a workshop. If Dd1 does come to live with us then I need space for all her craft stuff as she has more than me. No I don't usually spring clean like this but it did need doing this time.

Just popped in to see how the car boot went and see it didn't:(
Hopefully the bank holiday weekend will be perfect for you all.
It must be so very hard waiting especially being this far away. But only a few days ago we thought James was very close to the end and now he's fighting again. It must've been horrible for him to fall but luckily Racheal was there and again they fight on.
I like midnightraven can not begin to imagine how it must be as a Mum watching from a distance. Itching to help. But just look at your DGSs they must be giving their mummy and daddy the strength to carry on. As always I'm thinking and praying for you all, tomorrow is going to be a very long day for you.
If you run out of tidying at yours you would be very welcome to use your nervous energy at mine (I would provide refreshments and a shoulder if needed:)

Hi. James had his appointment and the main gist of it was that he has to eat or he may only have weeks to go. There is a cancer spread but there is still hope if he start to eat and gets some strength. He has lost another 7lb in 10 days!

Oh Sethsgran I was looking yesterday for news and again this morning I've no idea how I missed this.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this latest news. I assume at the moment James is too weak for further treatment to be successful? The poor brave man. Do they have an equivalent to "ensure plus" drinks in America my DH had to drink a shed load:( They worked tho. I used to set an alarm every hour during the day and tempt him with little morsels of food (a cracker with a slice of cheese, a child size yogurt) he was that "out of it" he didn't realised it was so frequent and gradually nibbled bits and bobs progressing to two crackers etc little and often (very often it seemed then) Thank heavens he did I do hope James finds the strength he needs to keep fighting.

Come on James sending prayers and healing vibes across the water.

I can not imagine your pain in being so far away and think of you all often. Your virtual family are behind you for support:)

    Hi!
I often lurk and keep up with your posts and am thinking of you all.
Ensure plus is a really good idea- it is often easier to drink nutrition rather than eat it.

Thanks Jellie. He. Actually is on something like Ensure, not sure which brand as they live in America. Car boot sale raised £300 today and we are doing another one on Monday. Also we have raised £400 by selling some things before we went and we still have 2 bikes, almost new adults bikes, to sell and possibly a marble fireplace. Truly you cannot imagine how kind people are being.

Well latest update on the fund raising is that today we did another car boot sale. This one was much smaller, York had over 100 cars, approx 20 cars but we decided that no matter what we would have fun. Guess what we made just over £425! How amazing is that. With all that we have sold and stuff still to sell eg 2 adult bikes plus at least enough stuff for 2 more car boot sales we reckon we will reach £1500. I think we are so determined that we will make it happen. :). Sadly James just getting worse day by day.
