Sethsgran I hope that you all come through this awful time strong and in good helath.

Miracles do happen and with every patient that goes through treatment a little more is learnt about this awful disease.

Look at your hand and this will tell you of the size of the tumour that my son had on his neck six years ago. He came through that, has had a brain tumour removed last year and is now fighting a dark spot on his lung and liver too. I've been blessed by having him for six years that I ever thought.

I wish you all strength to see this through.

Miracles are all around us, we just fail to recognise them. So glad you have had this time with your son. Sadly although SIL still at home he is not able to do anything. Sleeps most of the time, not eating and barely drinking. I feel 5 months is optimistic.

I'm so sorry, sethsgran, I have no words to help but do hope for a miracle for you. Sending you virtual ((hugs)) as you stand on the sidelines unable to help like your instincts want you to.

  • Sethsgran, so sorry to hear that your news is not positive - sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I hope all the positive thoughts and prayers from all of your friends here each get you a step closer to the miracle you're wishing for.

I can only second the good heart felt wishes above. There are no words which can make this situation better (unfortunately) but know that your MSE friends are all wishing you the strength and prayers enough to help towards the miracle. Although I've just been reading Rachel's blog and it seems to me she has two adorable little cheeky monkey miracles that are gonna give her the strength she needs.
She is one superstar lady (as I've said before obviously a chip off the old block) are you making plans to go out to them anytime soon?
Your wise words truly are inspirational you must be very proud to think you've produced such a wonderful human being.
My heart goes out to you but please don't forget the gift of HOPE. X

Thank you all. We are being led by her wishes. She is coping wonderfully, even with her four year old using a brown marker pen to add facial, leg and arm hairs so he could be a man to look after her. I am so proud of her. I will probably be needed soon as personally I feel we are looking at weeks not months just a feeling though. For his sake I hope I am right as this form of cancer is apparently excruciating even with massive doses of strong pain killers.

Well if anyone out there believes in prayer, I do, please pray for good weather around York this Saturday as we are going to the car boot sale to try sell lots of donated items to help raise money for my daughter and her husband. He was so ill at the weekend but has had a couple of good mornings this week and has manged to drink a little. :)

Hi still not able to do the car boot sale as site still waterlogged. My daughter is doing amazingly well. Her husbands health is declining before her eyes. They have an appointment with consultant so we hope and pray that things, whichever way, will be more certain. I honestly can't see how this man can go on much longer. He now needs a walker frame just to get to the car when going for blood tests etc. he decided to be independent this week and literally fell flat on his face. How humiliating for him to need lifting off the drive by his wife.
