Been sold out of date chocolate

Bought chocolate yesterday from Tesco (2 for £2) galaxy.
One of the bars I've just noticed is out of date and was best before Nov 2011. I've eaten some of it (before noticing).
What are my rights? I have the receipt to prove I bought it.
Thanks

Take it back for a refund. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Just eat it.0

I thought 'best before' dates were just guidelines.
I therefore agree with Hintza.0 -

You have the right to take it back for a reund.
You have the right to throw it in the bucket and get on with you life.
You have the right to complain to Tesco in the vain hope that such a heinous crime would never be replicated.
You have the right to moan about it on here, in the hope someone will tell you about all the compensation you are entitled too.0 -
You could eat it then leave one piece in the wrapper and take it back. I've seen that happen before. Maybe a refund and replace.
Just don't go in claiming to have been on the toilet all night or violently sick or you passed out (yes I've heard that said before after someone returned a ooc best before date cake out by 3 days). If it was a useby date there's a concern and I'm guessing Tesco will have a policy of not selling things after the BBE date but some areas instore just don't get dated checked as often as others.0 -
Just eat it and enjoy, out of date chocolate will not harm you at all.
Move on...................make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If you send it back to Mars (rather than returning it to Tesco) you may well get several times the original cost back in vouchers.0

Why would Mars give you more that Tesco when Mars have no control over the dates within which Tesco sell a product.
This is a Tesco issue, nothing to do with the manufacturer.
And Tesco are only required to refund.0 -
But what about the hundreds of pounds of compensation the OP is entitled to for the possibility of the chocolate being deadly poisonous?0

But... but... but...
a child could've eaten it.0
