Wow, that's loads !! no wonder you needed the extra.
With a lot of tabs open and some progs grabbing a lot of memory, I prefer to have the overhead in place, rather than to worry about constant tweaking.
Now it just runs as I should expect.
With 512MB RAM, I just did not bother to use it.0
