  • Hi all,

Well she only went and did it lol!

Yep - daughter who wanted a 29th Feb baby got her wish.
Beautiful grand daughter born just before 1am on 29th. DD was induced on 28th due to such few baby movements, and popped out a very wriggly (lol) baby girl.
3 weeks early but still just over 7 lbs.
I told DD about this thread and she has now chosen March 1st as her non-Leap-year birthday after reading about not being able to drive etc on 28th if that was to be her birthday.

Just an interesting fact - my mum`s birthday was November 5th (bonfire night) and my dad`s birthday was May 1st (May day). Now we have another `unique` birthday in the family!

    M
    xx

I just thought I would add I have a leap year baby. She had her first official Birthday this year! Very exciting. We celebrate on February 28th normally as we discussed it with her Grandma who teaches pre-schoolers and she said as a young child she would get confused about celebrating it in different months. Most leapling's (thats what they call leap year births according to wikipedia) I meet celebrate their Birthdays on the 28th Feb.
