The reason I ask is that most honeymoon websites I have found require you to put in dates, locations, hotel choice etc to eventually get a price

But the reason is exactly because there are so many variables!

You can view Virgin brochures onlline or download them to your PC btw and they are not alone in offering this so you don't actually have to wait or go anywhere!

I think we paid £16k/night for what you described

In a nice hotel, you’re looking around £3-4k. I have no idea now?!

If you don't like a thread or think someone is asking a stupid question the best thing to do is just move on and read something else.

But how can I sleep knowing somebody is wrong on the internet?

Actually I put in a figure based on a weeks holiday for 2 some where warm but not OTT in terms of costs.

I don't get it. You go to expedia, type in somewhere you'd like to go, choose a couple of dates in april then choose a hotel that looks suitable. Surely this can't take more than 2 minutes.

Or, if you really don't want to do that, why not just work backwards - set yourself a budget of 5k or 10k then work backward from that to find a destination at the time.

FWIW, we had 3 weeks in Florida and 5 days in NYC for ours. Did a whole bunch of stuff, ate out all the time and stayed in 4 star hotels. Probably cost around £15k when all was said and done...

    Sorry £16000 per night?

For this I'd want Johnny Depp thrown...

that might not work so well on a honeymoon but still for that kind of money the extras would have to be amazing.

It was a 5* villa in the absolute middle of nowhere in the Carribean.

Our kids are 8 and 10, so we unfortunately had to wait for them to finish for the summer before marrying

I’ll never be doing it again, and usually spend no more than food/flights/diesel for our Georgia Manager’s car for 2 weeks! All in, about £5000p/a for 2 2-week holidays normally, then Center Parcs for October holiday.

Yeah for winning the "who has the longest piece of string" competition.

No just realised CKhalvashi's string is longer than yours and mine put together and then some
