Pancakes are not just for Pancake Day
I don't do the roll up thing, just layer them with spag bol sauce, topped with cheese sauce and bake like a lasagne!
Layer them with mushrooms and a sauce; or roasted veggies and a sauce. They make an economical and filling main dish.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Had some last night with chicken, leeks and mushrooms in a white sauce, topped with cream and gruyere cheese then baked in the oven...... could have done with a bit more "kick" for me but the kids ate them

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your replies. Ive never made savory pancakes before. It was my sister who had them at a restaurant!! They sounded delicious.
Now this might sound like a really daft question, but, do you just make normal pancakes, and fill them with savory fillings
If thats NOT the case, please dont laugh at me:p
I would be most grateful if someone could give me an actual recipe so it will point me in the right direction.

yes just normal pancake mix is fine -
4 oz flour,
1 egg (mix both)
Then add half a pint of milk slowly whilst stirring
We have our savoury pancakes with a smoked haddock and spinach filling (with a cheesy white sauce to stick it all together!)
