not sure if this is what you mean, but i make a batch of pancakes, put a layer of greaseproof between each one so they dont stick.
then i put a couple of tablespoons of spag bol on each pancake, roll them up, put in an ovenproof dish bout 8" x 8" and cover with a white or cheese sauce....kind of like a canneloni!!
cook for about half an hour till piping hot

I also use them for canneloni type things - also I use a spinach and ricotta filling as well, then cover with a white sauce or tomato sauce.
I also like garlic mushrooms, with maybe some grated cheese stirred in, and a sauce over the top.0 -
I will mine stuffed with grated mature cheddar and ham.
A french friend made them for me once, and I'm addicted. I think they call them gallette (and I think TBH they use different flour for savoury, a brown flour, but we didn't, and its still lushy!)0 -
instead of using syrup, how about tuna and sweetcorn and some salad cream?0

Hi broke mary,
There are some tasty looking savory ideas on this older thread:

Also try chicken, ham and sweetcorn in a white sauce. Very like the filling in Findus crispy pancakes.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. For people with a wheat/gluten intolerance rice flower makes a very passable alternative to traditional pancake batter.
For a tasty savoury filling chop and fry a small onion, add a healthy quantity of finely chopped/crushed garlic. When cooked add half a tin of Campbells mushroom soup (fat free version is fine). Mix well and add a little water if required. Finally add some grated mature cheese and stir in until melted then serve.
You could always add things to the batter mix for savoury pancakes
eg.
Garlic & rosemary
chilli flakes
tabasco
tomato/garlic puree
grated cheese works well (blue cheese for a stronger flavour or pieces of brie for something a bit different)
Similar for sweey pancakes you can add chopped up banana to the batter mix then cook or use blueberries or whatever you fancy.

Tomorrow I am going to be having pancakes with a mixture of ricotta, smoked mackerel fillet, spring onions and lemon juice. Saw it done on Daily Cooks (well, not in a pancake!) and it looked yummy. Will be having the same mix with pasta tonight.0
