How many competitions do you enter?

New to this , I just wondered how many competitions do you all enter a day ?

Also is the success rate of winning high ?

If you include the magazine dailys I do hundreds a day. It is sensible to see it a bit like gambling. Sometimes I can put in 8 hours a day for months and get nothing and at other times I can make a living or top up my income. There is no formula to it, some people enter a few competitions and win something quickly and others are less fortunate. However, the more you do the greater the odds.

On and off over the years - used to do them with my mum!

How much have you won since you started?
The only thing I really remember winning as a kid was an 101 Dalmatians bundle :rotfl:

Nothing, but hopefully that changes soon!

Regarding the subject of how many entires people enter, I have recently got back into comping, using this forum which is great, thanks to all posters, several weeks ago I spent a few days working back from the oldest post 189 pages at the time.
It roughly took about three days to complete virtually all of the comps, I am also up to date with all the current magazine comps, take a break etc, the only ones I do not do are Facebook and Twitter, but I am going to join both, so after all this I can only find comps which are posted daily, I find once I am up to date, I only see a small amount each day, I am definitely not entering up to fifty as some people say, once I am up to date.
Am I missing any new opportunities?

If you bother with the click to wins etc you could probably make five thousand plus entries per day just with them (that would generally be for shared prizes and in some cases you can make 100 plus entries per day for two months for one prize and often at least 40 entries per day per prize).

As a new comper I'm curious what the 'average' weekly amount of entries is for most folks?

Do you go for specific prizes or generally try anything if it's not too time consuming?

I appreciate that some people have more free time than others, but law of averages the more comps you enter across the board, the higher the chance of winning something - no?

I don't keep tabs on what I enter but it differs, i've hardly entered anything the past couple of days but some days I enter hundreds. I don't generally don't enter for things I would have no use for. I usually get wins every month.

I actually kept track a couple of days last week because I didn’t know how many, I average around 150 a day so per week around 1000...but some days I enter much more so I’d guess 1200-1500 a week x

I don’t enter things that I have no use for or I think should go to a real fan, like I don’t enter bridal comps or comps for older people as I feel it’s bad form.

I do enter for any toys as I have an aim to win £100 of toys to donate to the local food bank at xmas etc.

I notice people say they enter 100s of comps each day but I never seem to find that many- but I am new. Are you able to advise best place to find them please?:j
