How many competitions do you enter?

Yesterday I entered 301. I usually average 250 ish a day. I usually sort the forum by end date and make sure all that I want to enter are entered at least 1 day before closing date. I took a break from comping for a couple of years, and just got back into it a couple of weeks ago, and I have already entered 2357 in those two weeks. Amazing how they all mount up. Out of those I have already won 5 items, - not such a bad return rate

I've started comping 100% today, i've tried a few times in the past but got disheartened when I didn't win anything.

How many comps do you enter & how long did it take you to have your first win?

I got through 295 pages of forum posts in 4 weeks and won an item 1 weeks after that so nearly 1 months of constant entries before a win ive won 4 items so far this month mainly small items.


comp for fun if your expecting wins quickly they might but generally not

hello welcome to comping… It really depends to be honest the ratio of how many comps you actually want to do. Its a lot of fun especially when you get a WEM!! Its a lot of effort but very rewarding. Sometimes you will go through months when nothing comes through and you think ahh lets give up but a wem will pop up i.e. tickets to the baftas or a milan trip and its gets that mojo flowing! I started comping one month ago. I won my first comp within a week.

I enter perhaps 50 comps per day. I try to enter for things I'd really like to win, no point getting tunnel vision in front of a monitor in order to win a book or lipstick.

always need lippy & my book habit would be too expensive it wasn't for comping

I'm just a part time comper so only enter around 10 a day, if that. I don't have much luck so maybe I need to enter more...I just find I don't have the time though. I tend to enter in lunchbreaks, travelling to and from work - any spare time I have really, which isn't much! Maybe I need to up my game to get some wins in. Do you find the more you enter the more you win?

I read that some of you that do comping do about 900 a day! I'm lucky if I manage 50-100 a day, I was just wondering is it all on this site or are there any others you would recommend?
