How many competitions do you enter?

Okay I am prepared to share 'the knowledge' mainly because it's so changeable. I use Twitaculous for a twitter blast every so often, a combination of most popular and new on here but I NEVER plough through closing comps, if there was anything I wanted there I would have done it by now. But my secret weapon is blogs with rafflecopter comps, some have very few entries and a quick tally tells me 80% of my recent wins came from those.0

I thought I was entering loads, it felt like I was anyway. But then I decided to keep a log and it turns out I enter on average about 20 a day... so not much of a surprise that I don't win a whole lot!!!
On some days I might enter over a hundred, then on others nothing for three days because I am too busy with work or other stuff.
I don't enter twitter or rafflecopter, and enter only a few facebook comps. I guess you get out what you put in in this game.0 -
I only enter from this site! I will enter all comps I am interested in except facebook like and share£135/£2015
2014 - 21 wins2015 - 3 wins

I've been entering as many as 30-150 a day, It varies so much because some days i'm not motivated to enter many, i'm too busy or there isn't alot that interest me on a specific day.
I think numbers really notch up for some when they are doing the dailies/mag dailies and click to wins and keeping up with daily tweets for Rafflecoptors. I backed off the click to wins and am not so fussed if i don't enter daily on the mag dailes and other dailies.
Do whatever keeps you happy. I think this can be a very individual thing. Some people can enter 50 a day and when they try and enter more it can become a chore. For some there is no limit and are happy doing it all day every day.
You will find your own cut off point. I did when i was doing the click to wins, i gave up because 30 mins seemed to go on for hours when i was doing them.
Keep it fun for yourself and don't worry too much about what everyone else is doing.
I have been doing this since the 31st March, on MSE only and had 9 wins. I entered ALOT of competitions over that time though, chipping away and clearing the board. I haven't counted them as i tend to like to enter and forget. It's what works for me the best.0 -
Thanks Guys, I'll just keep plugging away and hope for the best!0

I honestly only have time to do around 20 a day, then I do a catch up at the weekend and maybe enter around 50 on a Saturday/Sunday. I haven't done too badly out of it, I won 3 long-haul holidays in 12 months so it can be done!!0

I go by end date, although can be a little annoying when comps close early. The risk I take I guess. I use roboform, Chrome autofill, adblock (addblock, I have found really speeds up the loading of most sites, as it stops bandwith hungry adds from loading), and autokey.
Can not recommend autokey enough. I have preset key combinations to fill in name, address and postcode for email entries, also for example use alt - w to automatically move the mouse point to roboform icon, pause for a sec and then move again to click on my profile to fill in forms. Saves so much time and means I don't have to move my hand from the keyboard to mouse!.
Loads of other little things I do, but if you do something over and over, you will find ways of speeding up.0 -
Hi Guys
I'm a new comper and have been diligently entering as many comps as I can on a daily basis. I have so far won A box of After Eights (still not received) but I'm curious as to whether these hours of feverishing filling in comps really pay off? How many competitions do people enter on an average day/week? and how long have other compers being doing this and what are their wins?? Would love to hear from you!0 -
I think it is definitely worth it, I enter anything from 50-200 a day depending on the time of year/day/month - sometimes it seems like you never win and then suddenly you may get a surprise package in the post
I have been comping for 5 years now and have been extremely lucky, but some months you may get nothing or just your box of chocs!
But remember a lot of the comps you have entered probably haven't ended yet.
added - also remember that once you have been doing it for a bit it gets easier as your already members of lots of sites so just need to log in to enter, you get use to the layout info and you only have a day or two to "catch up" on here - so probably only 50 pages or so!!!0
