it worked yesterday, had my voucher back at 14.11 today but dont think its working today as Asda have increased their price to £6.98, just 1p cheaper x0 -
Sorry am I missing something please? If the JTD gives the difference between Tesco and ASDA why are people targeting certain products. Surely the voucher just brings the NET cost down to the ASDA price?? Sorry very confused!! Thank you for any guidance, I was very active when the deal was double but cannot see the opportunity when just the difference!!0

As I understand it, the benefit comes as the comparison happens on the item cost Tesco vs Asda. If you buy an item on a deal in Tesco, the deal is not taken into account when comparing to Asda price.
So you could get 2 x £3 item on BOGOF in Tesco - cost £3.
Item costs £2 in Asda. You bought 2 in Tesco.
Tesco calculate JTD is £2 (2 £3 Tesco items - 2 £2 Asda items).
So you paid £3 for 2 items and get £2 voucher for Tesco too - that's the benefit.
Never done it myself as no longer have time to hunt the way I used to, but still like to pick a deal up if I'm instore.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Just to say your understanding is incorrect. The tesco price check does take into account multibuy savings such as the one you quote.
quoia has explained the correct situation and the potential benefits of JTD earlier in this thread.

Thought the multibuy was a simple explanation compared to a meal deal explanation.
Pretty sure the 2 I did in the early days didn't take the multibuy deals into account as I wondered how long it would be before Tesco started taking their deals into JTD comparison.
Have to say, I didn't follow Quoia's post at allbut I'm not really that bothered about JTD
Not like the old days, eh Ed? The glory days of DTD when it was like picking daffs in the spring.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

By looking at all Old el paso kits ONLY THIS ONE could get POSSIBLE JTD I guess
All others are £2 at T's
HTH
As i put in post 35 on this thread
2 x OLE EL PASO TOMATO & PEPPER FAJIT KIT 500G £ 6.44 N/A
had Old El Paso Cheesy Baked Enchilada Kit (663g) not track for me a few months ago. they did say they would correct it but dont count on it. so 3 left to pick from even the £2 ones are worth picking 2 of. £4 at tesco and £3 at asda £1 JTD0 -

I mainly use it as tesco is close to my home.
but cost wise if an item is more than 9% cheaper at asda than tesco it is worth getting at tesco for the clubcard points if you exchange 100 pionts for £1
8% cheaper at asda, A 1.84 T 2.00,
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.82
9% cheaper at asda, A 1.82 T 2.00
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.80
10% cheaper at asda, A 1.80 T 2.00
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.78
cost wise if an item is more than 6% cheaper at asda than tesco it is worth getting at tesco for the clubcard points if you exchange 100 pionts for £4
5% cheaper at asda, A 1.90 T 2.00
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.82
6% cheaper at asda, A 1.88 T 2.00
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.80
7% cheaper at asda, A 1.86 T 2.00
APG price 1.80, price check + clubcard points price 1.780 -

All the above ONLY APPLICABLE IF ....
Same item IS NOT cheaper THAN TESCO at Sainsbury's, Morrisons or Waitrose/Ocado
IF £1.90 at S,M or W then APG price is £1.71
IF SAME PRICE as ASDA (ie.£1.80 - which is very likely) at S,M or W .....
... then APG price is £1.62

S LOWER CASE OMEGA;6.59 so far ..0 -
In my case I have coupons that can only be spent at T's, for a specific shampoo - but the shampoo is on offer at A's
So I can use my coupons, and JTD the goods for A's price, whereas if I went to A's I'd not be able to use my coupons
And I will be using my £10 off a £30 spend T's voucher and get T's CC points too
