I put a receipt in for my neighbour yesterday. It had 52 different items on it, the majority of which are clearly sold at Asda, Sains and Morrisons. Yet this morning I get an email back saying "sorry, can't price check as you need a minimum of 8 comparable items" What the heck are they playing at with that one!

Same thing happened to me last week! I know I entered the details correctly, so then tried again, got exactly the same rubbish back. I really do despair of Tesco and their incompetent IT department

I gave up after that because they probably would only have compared 2 things out of 40 anyway!

how true! Tesco make the rules up as they go along and they are usually (no, always!) in their favour.

I'd certainly follow that up with a call to HO or CS.
The Price Promise T&Cs DO NOT say that you need 8 comparable items, just 8 unique items.

ahead of you there, I already did. :)

Chap called Lee said that he'd get onto the 'Price Promise team' and find out what was the problem and promised to call me back. No surprise to learn that almost 2 days later he hasn't done

What a complete bunch of <insert word of choice here>wits they are.

Try putting the receipt in again - you might have been out with one digit and checked someone else's receipt instead.

I entered the details correctly so it wasn't that. Entered them, correctly, again yesterday and got exactly the same result. This is starting to look like yet another Tossco tactic to avoid paying up
  • Am I being really thick or am I doing this all wrong?
I read loads of these threads to find out what to do and how to get my 50p off petrol voucher. 2 days ago I did my shop at Te$*o, bought over £6 worth of cereal and lots of other stuff I needed to get my first 10p voucher. I entered the receipt into the Te$*o price promise website, then checked all my items on mysupermarket against other shops to find out how much I would be getting back (some Asda stuff was quite a bit cheaper).
Today I had an email from Te$*o saying 'Great news, were happy to confirm your shopping was £2.04 cheaper at Te$*o'...
It shows that my shop was more expensive at Asda, Sainsburys & Morrisons and by how much.

Have I done something really wrong?
    Many thanks for your help

When you are planning your shop on mys you have to do the comparison against just one shop not 'against other shops'.
  • Did you have other shopping on your receipt?
  • hi sorry if this is a stupid question new to JTD can you enter more than one receipt per day or is it limited i have a few from recent shops and wanted to try and see if i can get anything from them thanks
