Did you get 8 different items and not count 2 of one item as part of your 8?

Just a thought on this note, when the SA rings through a re-use of a carrier bag and it comes up on your price comparison, am wondering if that would actually count as one of our 8?!?

Thanks just checked receipt and checkout op put through two different apples as the same. Quick call to cs and they are going to send out a gift card, for £6.25. Cs was really nice on phone.

they came through at the second attempt. £5.45 voucher received on a total shop of £16.71. Used my last JTD on this shop too and saved £4.24.

The self scan tills currently don't accept JTD vouchers without manual intervention by staff but the SA said there will be an update tomorrow in our store and then they should accept them via the self scan terminals. Not sure if this applies to the normal self service tills as well.

I don't shop in Tesco much these days so never used JTD.

Is it easy to get items that price match or are they selective in which things they'll compare?
I've read comments where people say they've bought a branded item and it's not been price matched even though the exact item is sold at the other supermarkets.

I'm planning to use some Clubcard vouchers for the pet food double up. £6.50 in Tesco, £5.00 in Asda. I'll 'bulk out' the shop with similarly priced items - suet, dried fruit, tinned soup. It always compares at Asda for their price match but how reliable is Tesco's?

I bought the finish dishwasher tablets hoping to get JTD but they came up as N/A. When I wrote to customer services they gave me a phone call and explained that not every item is included in the price promise - it is random every day (1000s of items) therefore there is no guarentee that a branded item is included. They did however agree to send me a gift card for the difference.

Think I'll stick with Asda then.At least they're honest about their guarentee.

how true! Tesco make the rules up as they go along and they are usually (no, always!) in their favour.

I put a receipt in for my neighbour yesterday. It had 52 different items on it, the majority of which are clearly sold at Asda, Sains and Morrisons. Yet this morning I get an email back saying "sorry, can't price check as you need a minimum of 8 comparable items" What the heck are they playing at with that one!

How long should it take for a response after you've submitted your receipt, please?

You should get an email the next day, but sometimes it takes a
.couple of days to receive the email. If It's been more than a day try resubmitting the same details. This often produces the voucher, and if you use w browser that stores the details like internet explorer, you can hit the page back button and submit again. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

    Good luck.

Try putting the receipt in again - you might have been out with one digit and checked someone else's receipt instead.

Do we know when the items in the 50p off a litre offer will be changing? Want to do JTD on cereal but don't need fuel in either car yet, so hanging on as long as poss!

N.B. Shreddies have gone up to £2.28 in A's

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes 750g are £3.14 in T's / £2 in A's so one to replace the Shreddies.
