The bit about needing to use a Clubcard might slow you down though.;)

Not convinced yet that they have the technology inplace to enforce this - there is no field on the new Price Promise site. You'd have thought that if they were relaunching the site they would have included this - maybe they are doing a further update? Or perhaps down to staff vigilannce/staff training as per the existing ts & cs .....

That was my take - that it'd be down to store staff asking for the Clubcard. If so, we can all relax again then, LOL!

That would be the case, had I not aquired "several" through home shop newbie vouchers. :D:rotfl:

This is exactly what it will be. And if not, get a bloody new clubcard.

I suspect that you will be required to use the same clubcard for the price check voucher as you did for the shopping. Even if you have an assortment of clubcards, you will have to match them up.

Would be easy enough to do, but doubt T's will suddenly get that sophisticated!

It is not very difficult to require the clubcard on the new receipt to be the same as the clubcard on the old receipt.

You are joking, right? They could've sorted this out on several occasions - they never have. They are a shower.

Personally doubt if the system will be the same as before. I assume that you will be tracked by having to input a club card on the website. They cannot continue to allow anonimity and misuse of vouchers.

However I am surprised that their auditors allowed the current unauditable system in the first place never mind letting it continue for over a year.

    Current system:

    No single use serial number
No way of indentifying the user
You can use any made up email
No way of monitoring the T & Cs such as number of claims per household
No way of ensurring the Voucher cannot be easily photoshopped
No way of stopping Multiple vouchers printed and copied
Relying on unsystematic process to show the voucher has been used ie signed receipt
No training of staff, supervisors and managers who do not know what it is, the t&cs or are over zealous in assuming they are being ripped off when they don't follow their own process
    No clear legal position
No auditing at stores or across stores in same region to identify and spot fraud
No risk assessment done for either DTD or JTD
No early decision to stop the scheme
No idea of the scale of losses
No support for those people who are loyal to Tesco and want to continue using the scheme correctly.

Or by requiring users to logon to their clubcard account in order to access the 'Tesco Price Promise' or by ensuring that emails only go to the address registered for that clubcard. Something like that.

I assume it's more of an anti-wombling tactic than anything else.

Auditors have no say in what a company actually does, and certainly no powers whatsoever to stop a company doing anything, no matter how stupid or crazy it might seem.
