In my local superstore in W3st0n sup3r M@re the 6pk of assorted flavour Nik Naks have mysteriously been taken down from £1.19 - 75p - 52p

I bought 4 packs and was suprised when I got home to see on the receipt they qualified for the McCoy/Skips/NikNak BOGOF, so each pack was 26p.

I've just been back and bought another 22 packs :D

    EAN 5000237 104934

Thanks picked up a few packs at lunch

Not quite sure which Tesco thread this belongs in...

Spent £3 on pears & £3 on apples and used 2 x £1 off a £3 spend on apples or pears coupon AND a £1 off wys £5 on any fruit coupon.

Coupons found in latest price drop leaflet instore.

Nice little saving for anyone who buys a lot of fruit like me.

    DW :D

  • I spotted a good price on a lego star wars set and set of to the automated till with my other shopping. The item scanned in at £15.00 more than the SEL that i had spotted. Management were called as i raised a price issue with the scanned item. Returning to the till the manager brought with her the SEL of a similar product on the shelf below claiming i had got my labels mixed up. We retuned to shopping isle and the SEL that i had spotted had been removed. She claimed i had been mistaken.

I am like other keen deal hunters and pay close attention to the SEL details and know that there was indeed a SEL with the correct price tag £15.00 less than the scanned price.

Without any proof my passing comment was , i 'll get the label next time... (or rather thinking about it now, it may pay to get some photgraphic evidence !

    Anyone had similar experiences ??

When ever they go to check the SEL I always say I'll come with you & show you where it was. They can't remove it then!!:D Hth

Oh yes! After a similar experience (with a butter chicken - anyone remember those from r&r days?) I always say I'll show you or just follow them - don't ask just go with them.

I have had some crackers - Caught the CS putting the SEL in her top pocket and trying to tell me there hadn't been an SEL there at all. At least she had the grace to go red when I pointed out it was in her top pocket.

Another CS messaged the meat dept for them to check the SEL on some lamb legs so I didn't have an excuse to go to aisle. But then when someone from the meat dept said that the leg I had was the only one in the wrong place I isnsisted we went and checked, as we turned the corner to the meat aisle there two workers frantically emptying the shelf where I had picked my leg up from - cue apology and dtd.

I personally wouldnt take photos, it would show you knew about it before paying.. Why else would anyone take a pic of an SEL?

    Xmas Saver!
    The correct procedure is:

    Buy product through manned till.
    Go to car.
    "check" receipt
Go back into store, double check SEL - to make sure your not going mad. Take picture at this point if you want.
Go to cust services and explain the overcharge.
Walk with CSA to sel to point out the error.
Return to cust service desk to wait for half an hour whilst they get on the phone to a manager "to see if it is an overcharge" or somesuch coded !!!!, without explaining why.
Be offered a refund to sel price or full refund and sale back at lower price.
Ask them about the DTD policy on the board behind them.
Wait for them to get back on the phone to the same manager so they can mutter "they want DTD, the cheeky, thievin, robbin, scumbag" to the manager, who authorises it.
Wait whilst the SA huffs, puffs and whines whilst processing DTD, preferably muttering to other SA's who are behind the desk, giving you evils.
Get dtd, and walk back to car.
Remove daggers SA have thrown in your back before you sit in the car.
Wonder what you will do with the next hour of free time you have.
