Thanks. It seems then you do not save by using 18185 for most calls. I can only think then of saving on say the virgin network where they charge 15p or less for a landline but 35p to call a non virgin mobile.0

On Virgin you can reduce the 35p a minute x-net charge by using a 0871 access number as they only charge 15p a minute to call 0871 numbers.EG:

I have just signed up with 18185, and i want to make a call from my mobile on holiday in spain, to my girlfriend in Malia (Greece) on her mobile. Any idea what charges I will be looking at for this - their website doesn't make it clear.
Any help or better solutions...?

It will be an expensive business. 18185 mobile access is only any good if your calling from within Uk.
Your be paying the intl roaming rate to call the 18185 020 access number, plus 5p connection, plus the rate to call your gf mobile.
What network are you on,is she on uk mobile or Greek Mobile.0 -
At least one more ;-)There are two possibilities
My SonyEricsson T610 used to have a "use calling card" option when to call a number - check to see if your phone has such a feature; it would dial the access number automatically, provide a PIN if necessary, then dial the number you want... really really useful when I used to use it!!!The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

She is on a uk mobile on holiday. I'm with orange, she's with O2. Looked at using Rebtel, which covers Spain, but not Greece (she will be in Malia).
Any other solutions? (apart from not talking!)

As it's a bit off-topic here, I've transferred my answer to your other thread about this0
