They tried this on with me, I got my PAC 30 days before the end as well.
Check the account online, it will probably show up as an early termination charge. If it does, ring them up and tell them to remove the charge, how can they charge you early termination before you've even ported your number?
Check your final bill when it comes to be sure that they have removed it, they didn't on mine which meant I had to ring them again to get my money back.
T-Mobile have only just refunded me, nearly a month after leaving. They didn't want to refund me Mays line rental either, despite the fact I had paid for it in Aprils bill and wouldn't be using it.
Moral of the story, check your final bill with T-Mobile to make sure that they haven't charged you early termination before actually leaving and make sure that you get any unused line rental charges back as well.
T-Mobile seem to have been doing this sort of thing for a while: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/30174560 -
Is their anywhere on Tmobile T&C to say a charge will be raised for a PAC code? My brother changed over to Vodafone 3 months ago and no charge was made for PAC code. Is this is something new? MS0

I just called TMobile and asked for a PAC
Was told there would be a charge of just over £20
When I asked why the operator got a bit tied up and confused, put me on hold to talk to someone else and then came back to me and dropped it
All a bit amateurish
Good luck everyone0 -
This is not a T&C issue, but a tariff one which you need to check or ask the question first. The provision of codes is only free if the network decides it will not make a charge. There can also be a charge for bringing a PAC into a new network, but as they are usually happy for the business will rarely do.0

Surely if this charge existed at T-mobile it would be the same for all tariffs.
Despite saying that they charge for PAC, they are trying to charge incorrect ETC actually. I think this is a nice earner for them as very few customers are savvy enough to challenge them.0
