Honest John in the Telegraph suggests that you send them 10 quid for 'an alleged minor breach of contract' with no admission of doing anything wrong. In the letter state that if they think this is inadequate, then you are happy to let a County Court judge decide. It will not be worth their while to take you to court, and they would probably lose if they did.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Ignore this too! (Since when was HJ's advice the way to go?)
Don't communicate with them at all!0 -
Tell you what you could do, call your solicitor and/or citizens advice and ask them where the company stands after sending out this letter
Chances are they`ll turn round and say ignore it and they`ll get board but hey may well turn round and offer good advice like contact the company and dispute it or contact them and pay because you may be in the wrong (I`m not saying you are but there is always a chance)Any advice I give on these forums is my own opinion only, and is what I would do in your situation or, what I have done in the past, please do not slate me for offering what I see as "sound" advice.ThanksDavewinston0 -

Why do that when there is no need to, solictors do not give advice for free and the CAB are known to give incorrect advice re parking tickets, as already stated ignore.0 -

Solicitors give their first hour of advice free of charge where I live, regardless of the fact that your going to pay cash or legal aid, they`ll still offer up to an hour for free and if CAB are known to be wrong why do so many people recommend them? Surely they would be closed, investigated by the government or a regulator and surely the CAB would have been sued left right and center by miffed people they dished out the wrong advice to regarding these tickets?Any advice I give on these forums is my own opinion only, and is what I would do in your situation or, what I have done in the past, please do not slate me for offering what I see as "sound" advice.ThanksDavewinston0 -

No!!!!!!
Just ignore this too!
You should not contact them at all. This is poor advice, and always suspect a newbie saying this sort of thing re the private parking scam.0 -

People do not know any better.
As you are new on the forums I would suggest you have a look and read the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking sub forum of this forum before posting advice that although well intentioned is poor, there is all the correct advice there re parking tickets.0 -

So because I am new I should be suss? Why should you always suspect the NooB? Everyone has to start somewhere Quentin so why dont you crawl back under your rock and stop being a troll, unless ofcourse you are willing to guarantee that nothing will come of this letter and will offer to pay the fine in full should the OP choose to take your advice and ignore the letter and lands them selfs with a hefty fine, court costs and/or CCJs? Didnt think so

Your unpleasant reply does not warrant a reply, but for the benefit of the OP:
Please follow the advice in post #2.
There you'll see that it is not unusual for reps from the scam ppcs to pose as newbies here and pass on their "wisdom" about paying up.
And many more rebuttals for the type of "advice" davewinston has chosen to give you!0
