So, genuine question.
What's so bad about living with your parents while saving a deposit for a house?
I'm genuinely intrigued, as the forum seems to be taken over with this obsession. I have to admit, I completely don't get it.0 -

There's nothing to get as far as living with parents whilst saving for a deposit. If it suits all parties there's no problem.
I wouldn't confuse Percy's hoarde of admiring sockies with a general obsession though - I think it might just be a single sockie handler that has an obsession.0 -
Thanks for the advice.
I hope that when you are my age, in 42 years time, that you - like me - won't need to do any saving to buy whatever you wish.
If im still knocking about in 42 years time i will probably have ran out of things to buy by then.
How much shiney 5hite do people really need.

I am not much older than you, and have rented in my early twenties (which makes me stupid according to you)
All my adult life, I have stood on my own two feet, and feel nothing but contempt for mummy's boys like you who come on here sneering at those who have grown a spine and refuse to rely on handouts from parent to subvent their lifestyle
If you are happy to sponge off your parents until you are married and facing into your thirties - good for you.
Personally, I think that's a disgraceful abuse of their kindness.
Hope your new wife knows what she's letting herself in for.
Thanks
I'll sleep a lot better tonight knowing that some complete stranger on the internet isnt going to throw a strop with me and storm off in a huff back to his mummy
To be fair, renting aside, you are stupid.
Very naive as well.0 -

A 3 bed semi has just gone on the market for £215,000!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Try £165,000 more like it and that would be very generous.
Got a linky for any property of a similar nature in a similar location from Houseprices so that we can whether we believe the seller or you are more likely to be correct?0 -

Believe me I am correct. I nearly wet myself laughing when I saw it on rightmove.

Bearing in mind the one that sold for £175,000 was peak prices!
And yes before you ask the house for sale is the same as those.
To be honest I was so gobsmacked I thought it must be a misprint on the price.0 -
So come on then Pimps. What's your expert opinion. Horrendously overpriced or not?0

If, as you say, the others that were sold are the same as this one then I completely agree that it is horrendously overpriced (especially when this one is just round the corner).

There are some unrealistic sellers out there but I would guess that people who would overprice their house by this much are in the minority.0
