Don't suppose you've got a picture of the wiring to the coils? I can't get my 1985 850G going because I removed the coils and can't work out how to reconnect them back up. I was too thick to make a note when I disconnected them.

    Hope this helps,

Don't think so! Must be pre 73 for free road tax.

Just got into old Suzuki's, I've a 1981 gsx750 thats technically on the road but just never used right now.

Bit cold of a morning lol.
Yes; it's colder than I remember it being :D
Still, the large cost of getting the first one on the road is largely finished - new tyres, rear shocks, fork seals, brakes. All added up, still cheaper than the car.
80quid a year road tax and 40mpg even not hanging around, can't be bad. :)

<edit> Hold on a minute - it also is more than 30 years old - I won't be paying road tax on it :):):)

Not here - I'm in Ireland. But by the time it's 30years old, the rules might have changed here too. I wouldn't put anything past this bunch of cccc .. clots in government.

http://www.thegsresources.com/ is yer man for the best all-round info on the ancient Suzies. There are still many thousands in the wild and now becoming highly-regarded as a classic marque, especially building on the reputation they had in the day of bullet-proof reliability (charging systems aside, of course, and that's easily sorted).

I remember when one of my mates bought his first big bike - Suzuki GS 750, and it was just awesome.

It was that blue, and he used to spend every weekend polishing the chromework. A great bike, one of the original "superbikes".

    Aaaahhh I see.
  • Thanks for all the info on GS wiring. Its the wires feeding the coil that seem to be wrong. I doubt it's original.
