I'm currently getting approximately 38MPG out the Demio, but on a good motorway run I got 42MPG. Not great, but not entirely unexpected from an engine from 1989 and a car they stopped building in 2002.
On a side note, I received a letter from Mazda yesterday saying my car has been recalled as it needs a new ignition barrel. Apparently grease can get into the contacts which causes resistance, making the connections hot and in extreme cases setting on fire.
Recall code is AF050A.
Is it actually worth going?0 -

If it's free I'd rock up in the banger just for the giggles.0 -

Yep, it says free of chargeImagine rocking up in it. They'll do it while I wait according to the letter and it should take no more than an hour? I wouldn't mind asking one of their parts guys about one of the connectors behind the head units, I cannot for the life of me work out the name of it so I can buy a female connection and make an extension loom. I'm guessing being a dealer, it won't be like that though.

Got something rattling and clanking in the front nearside wheel area of my 2008 207. Happens over every bump in the road and came on quite suddenly over the weekend.
This will be the first time I've had to shell out for repairs on this car since getting it 14 months ago.0 -

"Came on suddenly"... almost certainly spring I would agree.0 -
I've driven cars before which have failed MOTs with incomplete springs while offering no signs while driving showing to be the case.0
