just curious .... how many of us are using timers? if you do how long do you set it for and what do you do if the timer goes off and you've not finsihed that job - start something else and go back to it later or what.

'fraid that I haven't set the timer today, as I was juggling it with working, so I kinda knew I had about 10 mins at a stretch and would do as much as I could in that time, except for lunchtime when I "allowed" myself 50 mins inc. lunch :)

Just managed to catch up on today's news... isn't everyone working hard!

I was working this morning, and after lunch had to go downtown. I bought 2 expensive cotton jumpers from Principles after Christmas (present!) and the first time I washed them they shrank, and the hems went wavy, so I thought I would ask for advice from the shop - and was told that I should take them straight back for a refund, even though I can't find the receipt, as they are obviously faulty! (I do have a bank statement showing the payment as proof of purchase though).

So, as I now don't have the tops I wanted for my work placement, I bought a blouse, and suit in M&S.

None of which has anything much to do with flying.... so before I get deleted or banned - I did a speedy whip round the kitchen, and a proper clean of the cloakroom and the bathroom - yes, I know it wasn't on the list today, but the sittingroom didn't look too bad, and I don't have time to fly properly again until Friday when the bathroom would be in need of a pressure cleaner...

Shell - how did you make your rice pudding as I wouldn't mind having a go at that?

How do you advise cleaning the cooker? Mine hasn't been cleaned inside for months! I know I've read that you put your racks in the bath with Bio Washing Powder but what else and what do you suggest using on the inside?

  • Well, day 1 complete. All the weekends work didnt quite pay off as there was still far to much tidying to be done in the lounge. So i limited myself to 10mins tidying and then got on with the rest of the list. I did feel a bit of an idiot sitting amongst a pile of junk cleaning the skirting boards :rotfl:. Funny how you can quite happily ignore a room full of mess but that mark on the radiator is the thing that you notice though isn't it? Or is that just me?

Right, time to jot down tomorrows list

    Oh no not the kitchen!
