GBP 1200 Loan Required Urgently Today - (RETIRED THOUGH!!)

Good Morning,

I am somewhat in a pickle folks.

I am 88 years old and in need of a rather large loan of GBP 1,200.00 today.

Please could anyone advise if this would actually be possible to arrange today?

I dont know where to look. I have tried the Wonga people but they have declined and do not give a reason.

I would appreciate if anyone is able to help or point me in the right direction.

Many thanks.

  • No - your age means nearly all mainstream lenders will not give you a loan.
  • Surely this is discrimination / illegal?

Not at all, the lender can use whatever criteria they wish to determine the risk of lending.

For one thing, because they don't lend that kind of sum.

Not advocating you do it, but you'd have to go to a subprime lender if you were and one that would lend that sort of sum.

Your age might still be an issue though.
