Did you provide them with proof that the fault was inherent?

Is this a question or just a moan, there is another board for that.
If you want proper advice ask a question, so far tmobile have done nothing wrong, unless you have any other info you would like to add.

they tested it and it didnt work...but the separate lead works in the usb socket in the computer..
As you will be aware, being so knowledgeable of SoGA, you would need to prove that it hasn't failed because of misuse or general wear & tear

OP, can you understand that the shop need some sort of confirmation, from you, that the thing is inherently faulty.

The fact that it isn't working simply isn't good enough.

And why does the title of this thread imply that a mobile phone is broken?

If you got the phone/charger on contract its going to be Supply of Goods and Services rather than SoGA, although you haven't mentioned so not sure.

I have, shops have said the same to me, and they are right - if I believe its faulty, I have to prove it in order to have an item repaired or replaced.

You have not been mislead - you have missed the bit in SOGA which states after 6 months it is down to YOU to prove the fault was/is inherent.

Demonstrating a lead works and the charger doesn't proves there is a problem with the charger, but it is down to you to obtain a report which proves that fault has existed from the point of sale.

And no I do not work in a shop - but if I did, I would have said the same thing to you as T-Mobile did - respect to them for being aware of their rights.
  • Out of interest, how long have you had it for? Chargers are accessories, and ony covered for 6 months usually.
