  • Wow you move fast lady!;)

Can't believe you've got a dog already :D awwwww - pups are wonderful - if I wasn't out at work, all day I'd probably have had one but TBH I'm quite selfish in that I wanted to go for huge long walks now and not wait for around a year until they can do them :o (but at least I'm honest about it!). They're very hard work but very rewarding :D (Have you had a dog before?).

:j:j:j Bet the kids are over the moon and hopefully he'll make everyone feel safer after the events of yesterday.

Hope you come over to the Pets Board if you need any support / tips etc - it's another really friendly board with loads of knowledgeable people.

  • Great - he's earning his keep already then!

Maisie is the softest lump but she does bark at things outside (it was literally everything when she arrived which was a bit of a worry having neighbours but she has got better and it's now things like someone coming to the door etc) so that's reassuring for me.

What a terrifying experience for you Cleggie. Some people are so unbelievable. I have a friend who years ago popped to the local video shop for a video and when she got back the video recorder had been stolen. I hope you managed to give the police a good description of the man.

I would love to have a dog but unfortunately my OH won't agree to it because of the cost so I'm rather envious of you in that respect. What have you named it?

    Thanks LTSally.
I was only out of the house for 9mins, doing the school run. I left the house dead on 8.30am, and the phone call i made to the police when i got home was logged at 8.39am. So a very short time.
Basically, i returned home to find a man in my kitchen, and my front room with all my electrical stuff (TV, DVD player, stereo, Wii etc) unwired and on the floor.
it was one of the scariest things i have ever experienced and was very tearful. but now i am just bl00dy angry that these scumbags just think that stealing is OK.
Because i wasnt out of the house very long, they only managed to steal my mobile phone, my camera and (the worst of all) my younger sons DSiXL that i got him for Christmas :(
I feel like i could handle having MY stuff taken, but to have my sons DSi stolen really upset me
    .

It would me too smiley-angry019.gif but remember, the most important thing is the kids are safe and you're safe. Scumbags, no doubt druggies after something to flog down at CEX. Barstewards.
Similar thing happened to me when my boys were younger smiley-angry034.gif Police had the feeling i was being watched...
Glad you're ok though and now you have a rather soppy guard dog :)
Massive smiley-hug008.gif coming your way. xx

I can't believe he was still in there when you got back! That must have been so scary for you. No wonder you've gone out and got a dog straight away...

You're sounding a bit better today - and I'm with you, for them to take your ds' ds is just not on. Well, none of it is on, but ykwim.

    Keep strong.

  • How did the first night go?

Great news about the cat - they should be friends in no time (and the cat will show Marley who's boss;)).

Big cat has totally "got" Maisie now and wanders around quite happily but wee cat's still scared of her (funny as she's the feisty one that I thought would put her in her place straight away) - unfortunately she was chased by a neighbours dog a couple of days before Maisie arrived & then again by Maisie when she did come so think her confidence has been dented a bit - fingers crossed it won't be long before they're all comfortable with each other.

  • Awwwww fantastic that he's letting you know when he needs to go out.

Exercise when they're growing is around 5 mins / month (so 15 mins for him atm) so very short walks for a while!

As Sista says, there are some really knowledgeable people on the Pets Board and it's also one of the friendly boards IYKWIM so if you've any questions do post on there.
