    Good morning!
I am waiting for the bank to open and then i can go into town and deposit some money in.

I was thinking last night- before becoming a regular on the MSE boards, i woud have been so worried about only having £5 for the week, that i woud have not deposited the money for the DD into the bank and let myself get charged for it being returned unpaid.
But now, it doesnt worry me too much, only having £5 for the week. I know i can survive, i know i have plenty of food in the house. Don't get me wrong, i did contemplate keeping the money instead of depositing it into the bank (old habits die hard!) but i knew it was a very stupid idea!

And besides, its not even a week, its only Mon, Tues and Wednesday!

    Today i will:
    -[STRIKE]Check OLB[/STRIKE]-[STRIKE]Deposit money[/STRIKE]
    -Work out next weeks budget
-[STRIKE]Take mince out of freezer for tonights dinner[/STRIKE]
    -Start exam revision
-[STRIKE]Browse the 'freebies' board for things to add to xmas hampers[/STRIKE]
-Have a look whats on at the Kids AM session at the cinema next week

Just updating what i have done so far. The man in the bank confirmed that my DD wont be returned unpaid since i have paid the funds in before 12pm today :)

Just about to write next weeks budget.

    Morning!

My cat is currently out in the garden hunting down birds. We have loads of birds sround here, but she normally brings in mice. She woke us up this morning at 6am!!

I am thinking about becoming a vegetarian. I was veggie from the age of 13-19 but gave in when i was pregnant and craving a ham sandwich!!

I'm a vegetarian, although my cat isn't he is always bringing in mice. I think he is single- pawedly clearing his territory of rodents.

I know lots of cheap vegetarian meals, I'm happy to post them up for you.

ahh, you mean the e-savings, LOL!

I have worked out next weeks meal plan, and budget and have realised something....

I have enough food (for dinners) to last until the end of next week:j :rotfl:

So my meal plan next week is:

Mon-HM chicken chow mein with spring rolls
Tues- Burgers and HM chips, with salad and curry sauce
    Wed- HM fish pie
Thur- Ham, tomato and cheese tart thingy wotsit
Fri- HM fish and chips with curry sauce
    Sat- Leftovers.

Now, i am aware that its not the healthiest of meal pans, with it having fish and chips and burgers in the same week..but sod it, you only live once!

So, for that meal plan, all i need to buy is:

    Diced onion
    Mayo
    Eggs
    Lettuce
    Cucumber
    Burger baps
    Passata
    Tomatoes
    Puff pastry
1 red and 1 yellow pepper
    Tinned sweetcorn.

I will obviously need snack stuff and breakfast cereals, but i am hoping that on the run up to payday (23rd) i can get away with spending as little as possible.

I'd like lots of veggie ideas too please!! I'm not a veggie, but I need to eat cheaply, so if I had a stash of basics in, I could make cheap dinners, but I tend to make flavourless thangs unless I follow a recipe!!

    Cleggie, you made me laugh,
"Thur- Ham, tomato and cheese tart thingy wotsit" !!!
ROTFLMAO! That's the kind of name I would give to something - are you sure we're not sisters?!

You're sounding much more positive now the dissertation is out of the way - I'm guessing it's a huge weight off your mind, and you can now focus on other things again.

I'm off to bed now, to try and get rid of my cough/cold-type thing.

    Night!

    Morning!

Florenceem- i guess you are right (are you my conscience, LOL), i think i might put the fish and chips on this weeks menu and have something different on next Thursday.
I am just desperate to use up all that blinkin fish!! Oh well, i'm sure the fish pie will use up a good chunk of it :)

I actually managed to sleep through the night last night, for the first time in ages!! I woke up briefly twice, but went straight back to sleep, which means i have woken up this morning feeling a bit more alive!

PG- yes i am most definitely feeling better now that the dissertation is over and done with! I have written a timetable for my exam revision too, so i feel a bit more on top of things now.

    What i will do today:
    Avoid SMs
    Check OLB
    Exam revision
Walk in the woods with the kids
    Put washing away
    Tidy kids room
    Clean bathroom

I have managed to avoid the SM for the past 2 days, today will be the 3rd day!

Good luck ticking things off your list today. I have just made a 2-day list, it's a bit full, mainly jobs to do around the house - the children are still away with their dad, and not back until Friday, and I don't want to feel that I have wasted this time, and end up having to spend time with them tidying and cleaning when we could be having fun!

I put my rubbish out this morning, and then got straight back into bed for a lie in. Got up around half ten. Now made list and raring to go (yeah right!), so going to put the kettle on, get the toons on, and get going!!

Have a good day, enjoy the woods!

Just updating. Not sure if we'll make it out to the woods today, i am in a lazy mood and am not sure if i can be bothered.
