Morning cleggie
I will be virtually alongside you writing today. I must get on with my assignment. Perhaps we could have our tea break together? Did you know that posting on here is considered a warm up to writing? Helps the words flow better, once you start.
Sorry you're feeling under the weather, that doesn't help get anything done at all.

Morning Piq,
i am going to give in to my chocolate cravings today and grab a mars bar to munch on whilst writing. I know i shouldnt really, as it wont help my mood, nor will it aid my weightloss plans, but sod it, sometimes you just have to!0 -
Hi Cleggie, hope you're feeling better soon. Enjoy your mars bar.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

Thanks Modesty.
Really fighting the urge to go shopping at the SM. My fridge is amost empty, but all we need is milk.
Went into town today (i say town, but its the nearest city, which is 15miles away) and went into waterstones. I normally never go in there unless i am prepared to spend a seious amount of cash, i am am a HUGE book lover.
But i was really pleased with myself as i didnt buy anything at all.
However, i did spend £10 in M&S, but i had planned for that as it was a mothers day present. I have to send it off to my mum tomorrow, along with her card.
Also got a macdonalds for my friends son and myself which was £9.
Need to get as much essay writing done as possible Wednesday & Thursday and i want to hand it in on Friday morning.
Now, should i go to the SM or not...i cant decide!0 -
Hi.
OK, there is some good news and some bad news.
Which do you want first? Oh, the bad news. OK.
Bad news is that i went to the SM
Good news is as follows: I decided that i wasnt allowed to use my card, i only was allowed to use the money i had on me from week 1's shopping money- so i had £7.
Got the kids some sweets, 6 croissants for 90p (reduced), mince which will eek out for 2 meals, a bar of aero (i cant help my monthly cravings!!), but totally forgot milk!
I have £1.50 left out of that money, which will be spent on milk this evening.
Not too bad i guess...could have done better by not going to the SM at all..but the damamge isnt too bad.0 -
I think you can say that it was a controlled spend, that's a good thing. Don't apologise for the chocolate, it's medicinal. What two meals will you do with the mince?

Tonight i am doing chili con carne as i have loads of kidney beans that need using up. That will do us 2 meals and i only used half the mince.
The other half i will do a mince and sweet potato curry. Sounds groos, but is really yummy!
That will do us 2 meals as well, as i bulk it out with loads of rice. So £2.40 for value mine for 4 meals isnt too bad i dont think!0 -
Hope you're feeling better. I haven't seen this craving behaviour from you before - have you considered whether it is not just chocolate but sm craving at this time of the month?
I ask because not only did I buy chocolate in support of my medicinal hormonal compensation scheme, I also blew my budget at the weekend and I honestly think it was the hormone monster. You will be well placed to monitor this through your DFD over future months. If you feed your spends into a date-based spreadsheet you will be able to plot a graph and see if there's a pattern....
Or maybe I'm a bit sad...
Anyhow, I hope the dissertation is coming along and you fight that sm urge girl; you're going great guns!
Best wishes

Glad you're feeling a bit better today .....
You've made me want Chilli for dinner- went to my stash of HM batch cooked meals (usually consisting of Chilli, Mince, Spag bol sauce, Chicken casserole and, if I'm lucky, Beef casserole) and ...... there's no Chilli ones left :eek:
You know when you get the "that's what I want" feeling ... well I've got it now:o
Have dug a block of mince out the freezer and have stuck it in the fridge so I can make some tomorrow ... bet I don't want it then!:rotfl:
I really must become more adventurous in my batch cook meals - I always the same things (I do a load until I run out of room for storing them in the freezer) and then rotate them until they all run out ...Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi Cleggie, gosh a lot to catch up with! Sorry you've had a rough couple of days. When I'm hormonal I really should be locked in my bedroom with a few days supply of chocolate and a kettle and tea bags! And the yucky cold will just make it worse.
Loving your Mr T bargains, well done you. And well done for going in with just a bit of cash, no cards.:T
I've got to go into town tomorrow so have written a very short list which says across the bottom NO CLOTHES!!
Thank you whoever gave the eBay non branded clothes tip, will be checking now for son's summer wardrobe.:)Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020
