Hey Cleggie - tbh Ive used the same baking paper for AGES so dont buy it often! Mr T is doing some for £1.05 for 8m, thats what I have and has literally lasted me years lol - guess it depends on how much you would use it? eres the link anyway if you want a look - http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=256581915

Great savings in the bargain section - I used to walk right past it until last year. Infact I used to get embarrased even slowing down in that section for fear of a friend seeing me (silly I know!) but I now love it and its the first place I practically run to! Weve made so many great savings especially with meat - anything we buy goes striaght into the freezer so nothing gets spoilt before we get a chance to eat it.

I had a dinner party on new years day for family this year and did the whole meal for 16 people for around £30! All thanks to the 17p finest party cheesecakes etc lol it went down a storm and no one had any idea where the food had come from!
Life is what you make it.

    Morning all!

Well, today is not going as planned already, and its only 7.10am :rotfl:

My youngest son has been poorly, so he isnt going to school today. And i have also woken up with a temperature, runny nose etc, so i am pretty sure that today will be a NSD as we wont leave the house!

I have been looking through the last few pages of this DFD and have noticed a trend....i seem to STILL be going to the SMs too much! NOT GOOD, CLEGGIE!! I cant use the excuse that i can find bargins etc, as my freezer is jam packed and i cant fit anything else in there.:o

So, having a look through, i think the best thing to do from now on is:
ONLY go to the SM once a week for a big shop (or i may start doing it online to avoid all temptation)
Go to the SM one evening a week to get some YS stuff, such as meat etc.

So, reining it in again! Someone give me a stern talking to if they see me writing that i have been to the SM!:D

I have just found PGs DFD, so am off over there to settle down with a cuppa and read through.

    What will i do today:
    AVOID SM
    Check OLB
    Write some of my essay

    Good afternoon :)

    What a day!
Have finished doing everything that i had on my list (OK, so the list was only 3 things :D).

I have written 3 pages of my essay, will do another 3 this evening if i can keep my eyes open long enough!

I havent been to the SM at all, nor will i be doing so today..i dont need to go to the SM..i dont need to go to the SM...repeat as needed!!
    :rotfl:
Thought some fresh air would do my and DS2 some good and maybe get rid of our colds etc...big mistake!
We went for a walk in the woods near us, and although it was beautiful (and almost felt like summer) i am now feeling even worse than before! URGH!
I dont have time to be ill

On a sad note, one of my lecturers died on Friday. We had an email telling us today. Its so sad, she was only in her 40's :( I always thought she was asthmatic as she coughed a lot, but she actually had lung cancer. RIP.

One good thing about being ill today is that it saved me money as i didnt go into uni today, so less petrol needed!

Wow, it really brings it home, doesn't it. Sorry to hear that.

Hope you're feeling better. The walk probably felt like it didn't make you better, but I'm sure it did - oxygen, cleaner air than the buggy stuff at home, etc. Not being rude there!!

We just had a phone call at work telling us ofsted is in on weds and thurs, so my spending is going to go one way or the other. Either I'll spend nothing, or I'll go mad to make myself feel better! I'm thinking at least I recognise that, right?!

Why don't you set the day in stone that you go shopping? Eg, my mum always used to go on a Friday night. If you did that, then ys shopping say on a Tues, you could get extra bread and milk at the same time as it's halfway through the week. Obviously, you would change it for special occasions, but that seems to work for me too (when I follow it!)

    Evening!

    Dinner this evening was:
Southern style chicken drumsticks- YS reduced from £3.60 to 75p (bought last week)
    Chips
Beans- they were actually Heinz dont you know!! I had a tin of them from yonks and yonks ago so thought i'd use them up. I actually prefer the taste of branston!

Stealing PGs tips (haha, nearly called you PG Tips!!) on her thread, i am going to write my list of positives for today (thanks PG for allowing me to steal this idea :)):

    -Didnt go into any SMs
-Didnt spend any money at all
-Went for a lovely woodland walk
-Wrote 3 pages of my 12 page essay, despite being ill and having my son at home with me
-Recognised my need to still cut down on the SM trips.

Am very happy i have 5 things, as i struggle to have 1 some days.

Hi PG, our posts must have crossed!
Yes, i think having 1 set day to go shopping is a good idea. I think that i will what you said, do the YS and milk/bread run on Tuesdays and my big shop on Fridays, since i have to drive past Mr Ms then anyway.

Feeling utterly miserable this evening :(
Think its a mixture of deadline stress with the dissertation and essay, and feeling ill, and its also that time of the month...urgh, just be thankfull that you dont have to spend anytime with me at the moment, as my temper is foul too!!

Have defrosted another bit of the baguette to take to uni with me tomorrow, if i go. Found a tin of tuna and a tin of sweetcorn and some mayo, and mixed it all together so i will fill the baguette portion with that.
Hoping that i wont have to go into uni really, but we'll see.

It was my time last week, and honestly, I have never had so much of a problem with my cleavage! Even breastfeeding was easier than last week! Even turning around hurt me last week, so I'm so glad I'm done with that now. Except now I have to have a smear  Anyhoo, TMI!!

You just have to accept that there are times when you will feel rubbish. This is when not having an other half to pick up the pieces is hard. BUT, we're all here for you, giving you virtual hugs. :grouphug:and kisses :kisses3:! You can do this. You've been organised ready for tomorrow, and you have a new sm focus - you know what to do, and we are behind you with this.

    Take care you,

Thanks PG, thats really appreciated. :)
Had an early night last night and have woken up feeling a bit happier, although still ill.

Need to get a few more pages of my essay written today, so will be staying at home. Not really in the mood to go to uni.
This is when i struggle with the SMs, when i feel low. I know its an emotional thing, so i just have to do my best today not to go into a SM.

    Hope you are all well.
