Thanks Aamberle :) Hope you are well & looking forward to the weekend !

Mr Toad , Thursday indeed !!! Madness :)

Haven't posted much last few days as it's all a bit rubbish at the moment ... It's been a week for stuff going wrong , unexpected expenses and cold !!! I cannot wait for this month to be over !! I just need to work out how to make £23 last a week (Inc petrol ) Not sure I can do it tbh as running out of everything .... Mmmmm will have to think on that.

On a lighter note been really good and check my bank first thing every day and last thing every night so I should be well sorted and budgeted .... If I can just get through another week :)

Hope everyone is having a good week !

Have just been reminded of why its good the check EVERYTHING !!!

Could not understand this morning why my bank is £3 overdrawn (I have no overdraft). It's my monthly bank acct fee .... Which I have been meaning to cancel :o So ..... They are going to charge me for going overdrawn and I can't get any money till Tuesday .... V annoyed though it's my own fault I suppose.

Will be doing a basic shop later and some housework. Have sold a couple of bits on eBay so should just about make it through this week but my god it's tight and no room for error.

Feeling a little chirpier now the end of Jan is in sight - I hate how miserable January makes me :). This will be the last year of January blues !!!! I have joined the Christmas saving scheme at work but have set my pat out date as January 15th rather than pre Christmas as I have managed Christmas ok this year and next yr will have my sealed pot money , my £2 coins and Mr T vouchers towards it. If anything is going to wrong in this house it's always January ..... Or March .... Or September .... Or February ..... :rotfl:

    Gotta laugh really :D

Have a good day all x

Hi Coco. been lurking on here a while, your story gripped me and had to read the whole thing!

re the bank overdraft, is it worth calling to see if they will waive fees for going overdrawn, seeing as its one of their charges that put you there?

    Happy Sunday :)

So it's 5 days to pay day - and with a couple of little eBay sales I have £38 now to last me :D Meals will have to be carefully planned but should be ok.

Ex asked me how I was managing for money - he very kindly offered to pay my money in yesterday instead of Friday ...... I am very proud of myself - I thanked him nicely but said no thanks I will manage :T Six months ago I would have snapped his hand off !!! But it was a nice gesture from him. He did leave the boys some money for a takeaway or whatever. We actually had a nice relaxed chatty day :)

Decided to clear out the boot of my car to reduce petrol and found a carrier bag with a bottle of wine and some chocs from my works Christmas draw !!!!! So I had a nice glass (read 3 ) of Chardonnay last night .... It was so cold having been at -1 for 3 days :D

So this week will be quiet but have lots of little jobs to keep me busy , firstly I need to sort my sig out tomorrow and clear my fridge out - quite frankly , it's disgusting !!! Actually , generally my house is disgusting !!! Need to go and get eldest and hungover friends this morning - I don't really mind except it will use a days worth of work petrol. Still , another mum dropped them in last night so it is my turn. He did text me to say hurry up just now. I said , I will be there when I am ready - after a cup of tea or 3 and a shower. If that wasn't good enough they can walk the 2 miles to the bus stop in the cold , spend £4 on bus fare and walk the mile this end if he preferred ? No .... That's fine , they are happy to wait :rotfl:

    Katzen hi :j

Good idea about ringing the bank - will do that tomorrow , worth an ask! I guess it's how much has changed that is why I am super cross at the thought of a £20 bank charge !!! I can remember the days when my bank charges would swallow £100 some months and I didn't used to worry about it

You people are good for me x

Definitely worth asking. Then if they say no it will motivate you to cancel whatever it is they charge you for! we 'asked' virgin to cut our bills, they couldn't offer us anything less than their competitor so we signed up to switch. Now we've phoned to actually cancel and miraculously they've chopped the bill by another £5! Now need to cancel installation on the other line but maximum money saved so all good in the end
