Wednesday 15th February - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:money:
Good Morning to all you good folk in DFWland (and the bad ones too;)) Finances are causing sleepless nights at the moment so thought I'd get us going early today.
DH ran out of JSA this week and we weren't quite meeting our outgoings even before that, so heaven only knows what we'll do now. He's pinning all his hopes on writing a best selling novel - but JKRowling is not is middle name so I'm not holding my breath! I need to see the hard cash now not in a year's time. In the meanwhile my job is getting worse - tears again on Thursday - so I need to keep an eye out for a better one too. Still, it's a Stitching Witch day today so time to do stuff that I love
My list for today then:
Sorry, rant over. Have a great day everyone,
stitchy x

Good morning, ladies and gents
I've been coming in quite late on the threads recently so thought I'd get us an early start this fine morning.
Had a very nice V-day yesterday, which was to be honest much needed after a few tough weeks relationship-wise. Not very MSE as we splurged on a fancy restaurant and the boy bought me some roses, but money well spent I say!
Now back to the incredibly stressful week at work. We have a huge deadline pending and its really just me about to do it. Anywho...
Today:
- bike everywhere I need to go
- drink lots of water
- shakshuka for tea, just need to pick up some corriander
- lunch provided by work
- quiet night in, probably working unfortunately!
Happy hump day, everyone!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Morning all,
Thanks for starting us NTBY, glad you had a nice evening with boy, hope whatever tiff you were having has all blown over now & that work gets a little less stressful at least!
Thank you Stitchy too! Sorry I missed your thread,w as in a rush this morning.
I'm still awaiting my new sim  It had better arrive today & fix the problem as I'm tired of taking the battery out & putting it back in again to make it work as it's so fiddly! For a smart phone the battery could have been designed better imo.
On a more positive note, it's mine & future hubby's three year anniversary today
I'm in two minds as to whether we should go to the restaurant we went to for our first date (we're looking at about £35 & petrol costs if so!!) or be very good & just stay in. Not too sure what we could cook to make it special rather than just another night in though...hmm...
Today I will:-- Make a homemade juice
