Moving Out Of My Mums House

Ha! This is funny! All you naysayers suggesting not to put a burden on the taxpayer.
You think her situation is tough? Well i'm 33 and this weekend is enough for me. Useless father who has just sat and watched all his life. "You don't need anything" "What is is you need? Really?" - Heard it all.
As of tomorrow, I hit the streets of London - Fulham to be exact. I will shoplift, squat, take. That is all there is to it and I don't apologise any longer. I've been down on the bus a few times this month for a reccy, and I'm happy to say the cold snap has passed. I have my sleeping bag & my bivvy roll. Everything else will be taken.
I'm no amateur - Travelled Europe & Asia rough sleeping on a bicycle, slept outside St Paul's too. I know my stuff. And how to tcb. The time to fight has passed, the time to take is here.
Anyone interested in my story, keep in touch. Anyone seeking a lifeline in the next month (squatted house) get in touch. I will build a community from nothing more than rubbing twigs together.
My prediction for the next reply is a 'load of tripe' comment. Trolling doesn't work in 2012.0 -
Oh yeah almost forgot - I wanted to say 'If you can afford to build bombs and send an army to protect oil rights in the Falklands, you can afford to feed & house your own population first.' Just sayin'0

Good luck, gohan2091.
I live in Norwich too and having been unemployed a few times i know how tough it is. Private rentals aren't cheap and the 'no housing benefit' rule applies to most, I'm afraid.Generation Rent0 -
If your mum does kick you out then you can present as homeless at your local council. Why should your mum still be keeping you at 25, you're not her responsbility. Not entirely sure how the local council would deal with you - certainly if you were younger (e.g. 18) then they may be more willing to help out. The bottom line is you need a job, any job. That way you could look at a house share rather than going begging to the taxpayer.0

Oh and I don't think we are getting the full story with the "Mum kicking you out" situation. I think there is more to it. If you really want to move out apply for every job you find. I've worked in loads of places - hated some of them but stuck it out because all money is the same at the end of the day however it's earned...
Mum wants £25 a week for board. I pay an additional £10 weekly amount to the council for rent and around £30 a week for food. I decided to stay at my dads house for 3 weeks now. Since I am not using electricity/gas/water at my mums place, and I am not using any food. I said to her, I will pay you half of my board for those 3 weeks I am at my dads (so £12.50 instead of £25) and when I return, I will continue paying £25. It's because of this, that she said she wants me out of the house by April.
Mum has been saying for a few years now that she wants me out and I have been putting a lot of effort into finding work. I am with Ingeus (now with F1 Training) who are supporting my job search via the "Work Programme". I sent out 150 covering letters to companies in Norwich in November. Not one interview from that.0 -
Have you tried around Cambridge?0

If you could find work in or around Cambridge you might be able to house share with students?
