Sounds like a good plan....Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I was just wondering what you consider to be a sensible emergency fund with a baby on the way? Also is it just for you or Mrs E too?
Hi Janey. I'd like 3-6 months of expenses, but we have quite a way to go! :eek:Oh dear, he's nesting .

Wow Mr E! Wish I'd been that focused with baby number uno! We opted for the mortgage break (commonly offered in the late 1990s/early 21st centuary!) and again with the second( moved while pregnant - not to be recommended). Not quite sure how we managed to wing it with the third but we did. I guess you cut your cloth to suit your circumstances if you are sensible. Or if you are really sensible like Mr E you create a baby fund! Great plan!Busymumofthreeplusdog......

Now it's time for me to go to bed ... Sadly that won't be happening today for various reasons, so I imagine that by 10pm tonight I will resemble a burst couch0
