Off to a wedding today, not my favourite thing in the world ever as there are so many people, but I'll be on my best behaviour :coffee:
- Set up a good initial MB, tiny loss, leaving me to extract as much as possible out of the free bet to follow
- £1 to Freedom Fund (not actually shrinking, just MB float)
- £11 to 2017
- £5 to Baby Pot

It's not terrible on the reward front Hurdler, I've withdrawn £45 in vouchers since 07/01/2014, with another £10 to come shortly. It is boring tho. I've only ever had decent rewards from VO, never get any for Ipsauce and precious few for YG.0

Oh yes - I've been afflicted with terrible social anxiety since I was a child - it's a big part of why I find work (confrontation) so horrible :eek:0 -
Poor you. I always think Weddings are a bit of an ordeal. All that smiling makes my face ache.0

Hi Ed! For some reason, I'd not actually subscribed to your diary, though when I first popped over to this board, I found it one of the really inspiring ones. Rectifying that now

Thanks for popping by KC
This has not been a good week. On Monday, my 'manager' (use that term loosely) tried to make me the complaints person for the unpopular IT company that I work for. I told him to whistle. He then tried to strongarm me by saying 'what if the senior manager says that you have to do it regardless?' I then told him he could have my notice by the end of the day. I meant it, but I don't want it to come to that
As it stands, I'm sitting doing sweet FA in the ruins of what sounded like a reasonable opportunity 2.5 years ago. I've had 5 managers, 3 teams, no career development, mentoring or even basic guidance since I started. I have tried to engage with the organisational development crap, I have volunteered for things, I have sought feedback and I have sat here while my enthusiasm has seeped out of me like a sponge in a drain
I refuse to be the complaints person, as we are a structurally weak organisation that refuses to take responsibility for our mistakes and consistently shirks our responsibilities. The complaints person gets it in the neck from customers, is roundly ignored by managers and spends their days in a frustrated haze of annoyance.
But what can I do? It's not as if I can say that I'm busy and the costs of bringing a claim for constructive dismissal would eat the possible gains of such a course of action.
I miss having a job where people sought me out, I miss going home happy because work was 'ok', I miss my peace of mind and I miss having respect for myself as a working adult. I also miss not having grey hairs :rotfl:
Since joining this company, I've searched for jobs online every single week, what in the hell am I doing wrong?
I feel deflated.
