Today was a lot better, despite a Board meeting of doom where everything that could go wrong with the laptop did go wrong
Worked through 'til 4 and then left to drop off my final outstanding eBay parcel and go jogging. Dinner was a very virtuous porridge with Greek yoghurt, raisins and pumpkin seeds. I have entered {drum roll} *The Barrathon* - the premier half marathon for people who have heard of Barra. I am absolutely bricking it! :rotfl:
Mostly job hunting tonight and trying not to be envious of Mrs E's pizza.
Also very pleased that I've passed £500 in my Freedom Fund, feels like a real achievement.- £6.40 to Freedom Fund

Well done for entering the race, we are thinking of entering a 10k but most of the local ones are when I am away.

Thanks ajm, I have never run more than 10k in my life and have never voluntarily entered a sporting event
I also have my Dad and younger brother taking part - no pressure there then!0 -
Hi Ed - thanks for posting on my thread i appreciated the input
I have read some of your thread and interested / intrigued by a few things - sorry if this was in earlier posts
Freedom fund - sounds fab is it what it says on the tin? Savings for future / savings to do whatever you want with?
I saw you mentioned collectplus is this for bigger / heavier items ?
And finally
Vanguard LifeStrategy - is this dealing in stocks and shares ? It is something i am looking to do - i think i mentioned it to KC -if it is do you have any suggestions on where i can read up - when i get chance away from study
Sorry for all the questions
Well Done! on going for a run - i find when i'm out running or at least when i get back in from running i love it - that sense of pushing myself and achieving - its the going out in the first place which is hard - i loved ajmoneys suggestion about the 6 minutesAnd massive well done for entering the race too :T
And i have been thinking of getting a pressure cooker for the last few months and wondering how they worked as we never had one in the family when i was growing up - good to know what it can be used for
And its great hearing you talk about trying different things and you & your thread being focused on a definite goal now - 2017I must admit i feel a bit like i am probably considering lots of different things right now as i am learning lots of new stuff and finding my feet a bit
