Look in the section of fridges in the supermarket with the marked down food.
Sell by and use by dates are only a guide, use your eyes and nose to judge too!
You might have an overdraft limit but it's not *your* money!

Always make sure your getting the best deal for your utilities, phone, broadband etc.
Work out what you need i.e. minutes a month / gb allowance for BB, then go out and research the best deals.
Once you've found the best deal, keep your eyes peeled for something better!
Also, just ringing up your providers and pleading poverty get get you a little bonus. British Gas have just credited £30 to my account because I said I was thinking of leaving.0 -

Pay debts off before you save, if debt interest is more than savings interest (almost always).0

Never get a loan to buy a car. Once you have bought a car with cash, carry on saving for the next one. If you work part time, you cant afford to run a car, wait until you get a full time job. Be very careful when using a debit card for smaller amounts. It may trigger a shop's own 'floor limit' meaning it won't ask your bank upfront if you have enough in your account to afford it.0

When you get your own place have seperate accounts for your bills and set them up on direct debit. Saves you lots of time and money in the long run. Also dont be afraid to haggle with companies, there is always a deal to be done.0
